Mandarin Oriental, Miami in Miami, Florida

There's an unmistakable air of Magic City in the five-star design of Mandarin Oriental Miami. Palm-shaded cabanas are just as glamorous as they are in South Beach, but with the added allure of seclusion granted by a private beach club on tony Brickell Key. Three floors of the resort are dedicated to Mandarin Oriental’s signature spa treatments, and it’s also home to the only North American location of Chinese luxury brand Shanghai Tang.

Pity the souls arriving to work in the skyscrapers across the water – your office is a hammock, and an infinity-edge swimming pool is just a few strides away. Order a pre-lunch mojito. In the afternoon, strut down boutique-lined Lincoln Road like it's your runway. Listen to Cuban jazz in the balmy night air as neon lights glint off Biscayne Bay.

This was the best experience I've had in Miami. Loved the location and ambience was fabulous. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who loves to be delighted. View of the bay, upscale shopping all in walking distance.

First off, I don't write reviews EVER! So, with that being said that should tell you a lot. If you're on the fence about the Mandarin, please do yourself a favor and book now. From the time I checked into the hotel I was offered a complementary suite upgrade for my birthday. I also was greeted in my room with a birthday cake! As well as another cake at the pool. The pool is beautiful and the private beach is amazing. The bar and lobby is stunning with great entertainment. The hotel room itself is beautiful with amazing views and a terrace. The service is so top notch here, that my room door was not closed completely and security called my room to make sure I was ok and to warn me my door was not completely closed. Wow! I can go on and on about the Mandarin Oriental. This is a must stay hotel while in Miami, you will not be disappointed!

Couple days for business trip. Excellent check in, 6th floor varanda suite bay view. Breakfast (33usd?) is awesome, must try the fresh baked waffles! Swimming Pool is kinda small, but nice service. Located in very pleasant island, perfect for morning run. Wifi is pretty fast, but costs 16$/24h, could offer free wifi.

I have just had a two night stay at the Mandarin Oriental with my wife on my first visit to Miami. The hotel is in a fantastic location with great views across the harbour. The staff were all very helpful and our room was clean and pleasant. Although we did not eat in the hotel, the barman who served our drinks was very passionate about the Peruvian cuisine. Will have to try it next time. Poolside was very busy with plenty of towels left on the sun beds and no sign of their users! Make sure you enquire as to whether your room rate includes breakfast. Valet parking was reasonable and these guys seemed to work really hard not to keep you waiting. All in all, it is a great hotel with plenty of other options of places to eat out.
