Mandarin Oriental, Miami in Miami, Florida

There's an unmistakable air of Magic City in the five-star design of Mandarin Oriental Miami. Palm-shaded cabanas are just as glamorous as they are in South Beach, but with the added allure of seclusion granted by a private beach club on tony Brickell Key. Three floors of the resort are dedicated to Mandarin Oriental’s signature spa treatments, and it’s also home to the only North American location of Chinese luxury brand Shanghai Tang.

Pity the souls arriving to work in the skyscrapers across the water – your office is a hammock, and an infinity-edge swimming pool is just a few strides away. Order a pre-lunch mojito. In the afternoon, strut down boutique-lined Lincoln Road like it's your runway. Listen to Cuban jazz in the balmy night air as neon lights glint off Biscayne Bay.

We arrived just after Hurricane Irma and were surprised and impressed to see how it was back to business. Had a good check in and a lovely room with a balcony and view across the water. Mesmerising to watch at sundown as the lights come on,just lovely. Everyone seemed to have a dog which was quite entertaining as I've never stayed at a dog friendly hotel before. Pool is good and had wonderful sushi at the bar inside. Breakfast was good in the hotel cafe outside. There is a lovely walk around the hotel and lots of people jogging and walking their dogs. Had a great stay here, thanks!

Visited this hotel on a number of visits to Miami as I find it first class in all aspects. I usually travel solo and it’s one of the few hotels I can say don’t treat you any differently. In a junior suite this trip on the 14th floor and accommodation is great, fantastic view of the Bay. Breakfast buffet is a delight each morning and pool area is serine. Disappointed that Azul is closed, as it was a fantastic restaurant. Spa is a treat also with great services provided by polite and efficient team. The showers in the Sauna and Steam rooms are unbelievably good and I am tempted to use each day! All in all a joy to stay and the Christmas tree has just gone up in the lobby so it is all Christmassy now!

I made last minute reservations to attend Art Basel and the Mandarin was outstanding. The hotel is tranquil and a nice respite from the craziness of Miami Beach and the traffic. The room was lovely, service was excellent. La Mar was particularly good. I had lunch there which was outstanding (the 25 dollar pre fixe lunch was particularly special). The hostess and server were welcoming and remembered me every day. Was really pleased with this stay and would definitely come back.

From check in to check out exceptional stay. Great location, walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. Convenient to airport. Well equipped fitness facility and running paths near by. Far exceeded expectations in every category. Helpful staff who went out of their way to anticipate our needs.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. We arrived around 2 pm and were told our room was not ready, but they stored our luggage and we decided to have lunch pool side while we waited for 3pm check-in. At 330 we went to check in and our room was not ready. At 4 o'clock still not ready, at 430 it was still not ready but we had sat and watched others check in and get rooms, so once we complained they finally gave us a room. Complaining is not how I want to start my stay! They provided a room credit for the inconvenience but what we value above all else is good, timely service. We did have a very nice view of the bay and we even saw manatees in the water both mornings we stayed there. Our room was nice and it was quiet. The spa area is very serene and some areas such as the sauna room, are included in the room costs which is a very nice perk. The staff in the spa were very helpful and polite. There is turn down service and excellent room service available. We ate dinner in our room and it was delicious! We had breakfast in Le Mar and it was delicious. There are many breakfast choices and an omlette station to create your own omlette. The service was excellent. Overall this is a hotel I would recommend.
