Mandarin Oriental, Miami in Miami, Florida

There's an unmistakable air of Magic City in the five-star design of Mandarin Oriental Miami. Palm-shaded cabanas are just as glamorous as they are in South Beach, but with the added allure of seclusion granted by a private beach club on tony Brickell Key. Three floors of the resort are dedicated to Mandarin Oriental’s signature spa treatments, and it’s also home to the only North American location of Chinese luxury brand Shanghai Tang.

Pity the souls arriving to work in the skyscrapers across the water – your office is a hammock, and an infinity-edge swimming pool is just a few strides away. Order a pre-lunch mojito. In the afternoon, strut down boutique-lined Lincoln Road like it's your runway. Listen to Cuban jazz in the balmy night air as neon lights glint off Biscayne Bay.

We were staying for our honeymoon and had made prior arrangements weeks in advance with the staff and again had confirmed these arrangements on the day of check-in and NONE of the requests were fulfilled. It was extremely disappointing to walk in with my bride to find a bare and plain room when I had gone through the effort to make it an unforgettable moment for us. I really expected much more from such a renowned 5-star establishment. VERY DISAPPOINTING. The staff tried to make up for it by allowing us to order complimentary breakfast, however, a breakfast will never replace the special and unforgettable moment for my wife that I had planned for weeks.

Stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect. Rooms were very comfortable and beds were divine. Would highly recommend La Mar. Pool was nice and service good but slow. Did not want to be by the madhouse of South Beach so perfect for me.

Came here for a girls weekend the first weekend in March. We had an awesome experience! Customer service is on point with the standards of a Mandarin Oriental. The rooms are nice and clean and a great size. The spa is awesome and their pool and hot tub are kept clean. Love that you can order food and drinks poolside. Only downside is that the food at La Mar and the other places on-site are just average. When I'm paying like $90 for breakfast, I expect it to be spectacular.

The location of the hotel is on Brickell Key which felt exclusive and private but was also very central. The hotel fully exceeded my expectations! The rooms are amazing and have gorgeous views from the private balconies. The amenities and services were top notch and the customer service was exceptional. I highly recommend the restaurant in the hotel La Mar. The food was phenomenal and the ambiance was chic.

I enjoyed my Oasis experience from 3/10 to 3/13. The property sits on an island off from Brickell section of Miami - Brickell Keys. Hence you get a beach feel without the congestion and hustle bustle of South Beach. The hotel service from check-in to check-out ...flawless. David provided outstanding concierge service with a range of knowledge on food, events, transportation, spa and beach activities. Also my room 1619 offered a picture perfect view of Biscayne Bay. The housecleaning team provided good daily service. Further the hotel went out of its way to celebrate my birthday. Finally, the Mandarin Hotel Spa ranks as one of the best in city and delivers exceptional service. I recommend Shanique. Perhaps one suggestion to improve the experience. Currently you ha svto walk over the bridge to gain access to the trolley or the overall service. Perhaps the hotel could offer some sort of shuttle service during periods of heavy rains. I look forward to my next visit!
