The crown jewels of Trump National Doral Miami are its golf courses, 90 holes of PGA-worthy turf that include The Blue Monster, Greg Norman’s Great White and Raymond Floyd’s gold course. Trump acquired the Doral property in 2012 and has since given it a $250 million facelift. Rooms were renovated in a warm neutral palette with mahogany and gold leaf Spanish Revival details, and luxe cabanas flank the new Royal Palm Pool. There are 800 acres and almost as many rooms at Trump National Doral, making the resort a city in itself.

First impressions of this hotel are fantastic! The grounds are immaculately landscaped with the hotel reception area very nicely presented. The Champions Sports Bar and Grill was really good. Ewa working behind the bar was so helpful and made us very welcome - great hospitality skills. The local beer was really good and the Trump Burger was delicious. The Relaxation Pool was nice and quiet, although there was some noise disturbance from the water slide located adjacent. By the pool area Isabella, Alfonso and Luis provided fantastic service. The Mahi-Mahi Tacos were amazing! Behind the pool bar new hire Gabriel poured superb cocktails and looked after us really well. The guys in the Golf Shop were really friendly and helpful. Playing the Blue Monster golf course was a wonderful experience! The only negatives I would raise were that the ladies toilet by the pool did not smell particularly clean and the spa by the Relaxation Pool was not kept very clean.

I had the great pleasure of staying at Trump National Doral Miami last weekend. I was utterly impressed by the quality of the resort, the impeccable standard of the rooms, and the kindness of all people who work there and who make this a truly special place. A special shout out to Ewa and Eddy from the Champions Bar and Grill who provided great company and a world-class service - the place wouldn’t be the same without you! I very much look forward to returning to the resort when I am in Miami next time, Best wishes, Pawel

Ana Eijo was a pleasure. She was competent, helpful, and courteous. She was quick, efficient, and listened to my special needs. A wonderful addition to the team, I would love to come back and have her work on another of our corporate events. 10/10!

We stayed here 4 nights in a premier room in the Tiger Woods villa building. The rooms are plain vanilla and lack views but they are close to the main building. The nicer rooms are a good walk away. The hotel is 15 minutes drive from the airport. During the day you hear planes constantly landing overhead. The rooms are fine in this building except for two important things: 1. The AC keeps going off at night unless you call in an engineer and have him set it to VIP setting so that it doesn't keep shutting off. 2. The hot water takes a good 3 minutes to come on in the shower or in the sink. The gym is very good and has everything you need. A few more toys such as a bicep curl would be nice but it's fine. It's just off the main lobby and is open 24 hours. The two pools are large and one is a little warmer than the other. There is a cool water slide too but it goes into a separate small pool. They let kids go down the slide together and I'm not sure that is a great idea. Pool closes at dusk and is locked so night swimming is out. There are indoor and outdoor lap pools at the spa as well. There are bikes for rental and you can drive around the golf course which is very pretty. Two funny things about this place, considering they are owned by the Trump family. 1. In the bathroom you will find toiletries from China such as soap. 2. I've never been to a hotel in South Florida where, other than the front desk, valets and people you talk to on the phone, the vast majority of the people on staff I asked questions to couldn't answer them in English, such as at the pool, in the dining room and housekeeping. In any event, the property is fine. My parents were also there and were impressed at the workmanship of things such as moldings on the walls in all the public areas. And the upkeep of the property is excellent. There is a lot of spit and polish here. The decor is nice without being outlandish, which is a good thing if you are concerned that it will be over the top and in your face.
