Reviews for Grand Visconti Palace
Very central. Nice breakfast with good choice. Swimming pool although I didn't get a chance to try it. My room had only a shower would have liked a bath. Lifts sooooo slow. My biggest issue was two nights I had staff dragging tables round on the floor above. Night two I rang down to complain as It was close to midnight. The response was amazing 'yes sir they are rearranging tables after a formal dinner'. Why? In fairness it did stop but it just shows lack of care that they knew they were making noise and disruption.

We stayed in the Grand Visconti Palace on two occasions for two days each in early October 2017. From the moment we arrived to check in the Reception Manager was very attentive and advised us that he had upgraded us to a suite. We were most greatful for this. Everybody in Reception spoke English and or other languages and the rest of the staff did their best to speak in English as well. Breakfast on all days was wonderful with wide choice of breads, pastries, fruit and cooked options. The service in the breakfast room was excellent. The outlook to the beautiful garden was very nice. The distance from the Hotel to the centre of Milan was only 3 short stations and the Metro was only 100 metres away. Concierge gave us advice of a wonderful Italian restaurant nearby called Trattoria de la Trebia. Wonderful family run restaurant with great food and very reasonable prices. We left half of our luggage at Hotel whilst we went to Bolzano for a week. When we returned the Reception Manager of the day ( Evelyn ) was extremely kind to advise us that our request for an upgrade again was given. We commented a few times as to how professional and nice Evelyn at Reception was. This makes an enormous difference to hotel guests as Reception is the first impression and point of reference for how your stay will be. Reception, the Door Men and the Concierge at this hotel are very corteous, helpful and seem to do anything to make our stay better. This was even though the hotel was full and they were all very busy. The suite we had was very spacious, beautifully maintained and very clean. The view from the windows was excellent. The bed was superb. When we left to come back to Australia, Reception was very kind to let us stay until quite late as our flight from Milan to Sydney was leaving late at night. We would love to return to Milan for a longer visit and we would definitely stay at the Grand Visconti Palace again.

The most terrible experience ever. A nightmare from check-in till check-out, unfriendly, unpolite and unprofessional staff! Those people should be fired right away, front desk, concierge, bell boys. There are better hotels with a great service, they should not be on this business anymore!!! Never again

I just checked out of the hotel this morning and forgot my cell phone in my bed. When I called the hotel to tell them I left it they said they didn't find it. And that I had only left a pair of underwear, which I found strange. I go back to the hotel. They will not let me check the room myself...so I ask for this famous underwear I "left". They hand it over in a plastic bag and...as I know I haven't left any underwear "...I check it. And...as I already knew...it wasn't mine. The staff was unhelpful and dishonest. Don't say at this hotel. Ther are plenty of other hotels in Milan that don't try and scam their guests.
Just come back having spent 3 nights at the Grand Visconti Palace. The rooms are super, spotlessly clean and the beds so so comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is located 200 mtrs from the nearest Metro station and 4 stops from the Douno and 8 stops from Central station on the Yellow line getting around is really easy. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great hotel at reasonable room rates.
