Reviews for Grand Visconti Palace
This hotel is located beside the lodi metro station so very handy for travelling to the centre of milan. Duomo is only 4 stops away. The staff were friendly and helpful, we asked for a restaurant recommendation and were sent only a few minutes walk away to a fabulous restaurant. We also travelled to lake como and the front desk printed the train timetable for us and showed us where to change on the metro to get to the train station. Breakfast was lovely, there were several options to choose from and the coffee was delicious. We used the pool facilities which were really nice and well kept. The pool was heated which was an added bonus. The rooms were very big with plenty or rooms for suitcases and the shower facilities were brilliant and of a high quality. I would highly recommend this hotel when staying in milan.
We had a great stay in the Grand Visconti Palace. Very warm welcome, nice staff and a splended breakfast. De concierge helped us to find restaurants and did a good job. He did the reservations, called a cab, talked to the cab where to go. He was a fantastic man. Really enjoyed talking to him. Also the housekeeping was great. The room was totally cleaned up when we came back from a long day in the centre. The prices in the hotel for a drink where very expensive, but that is Milan... The distance to the centre was to far for walking for a few times a day. The Metro was nearby, taxi was not to expensive, about 10 euro's to the centre. We had a great time in the hotel, the spa was also really nice. Thanks for having us. We recommend this hotel to other people.
We've just returned from a four night stay at this hotel and it was a lovely, comfortable experience in a beautiful classic hotel. Location: the hotel is outside of the city centre. It proved to be a good base for city sightseeing and for a day trip to Lake Como as the metro (Lodi) is only a 2 mins walk and you can be at the Doumo in 3 stops ( under 10 minutes). The taxi fare from Linate airport was only 17 euros and took about 20 minutes. We returned to the UK from Malpensa airport and took the metro 8 stops to central station to pick up the airport express train. The hotel: the reception area is big with comfortable sofas and chairs. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The concierge was very helpful and is obviously a man who enjoys his job and he does it very very well. We had a classic room for three of us - the room was clean, large and nicely decorated in a formal way. Small fridge with room to put our own water etc along side the mini bar items. Kettle with selection of tea bags and coffee sachets.Aircon worked well. There's an electronic safe in the wardrobe. Slight noise from the road outside but not a problem. TV has the usual news channels in English. Bathroom was nice and big, lots of quality toiletries, great shower - bathrobes and slippers provided. There's an evening turn down service and a chocolate is left on your pillow.. very cute. Breakfast can be taken either in the restaurant area or out on the garden terrace - the breakfast is available until about 10.30am. This was the only slight disappointment; limited choice of hot food - just bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. Boiled eggs were cold. It took quite a long time for empty trays to be replenished. However, good selection of pastries and cereals and fruit. There's a pancake machine which was fun to use. Very helpful waitress covering the garden terrace. We used the pool (included in our booking) and it was fabulous - we bought swimming hats (8 euors for 3) there. The garden area is pretty and it was very nice after a day sightseeing to swim and then sit in the sun with a book. The area around the hotel seems to be residential. A lot of restaurants were closed for August but the few that were open were good. There's a great place to get wonderful gelato around the corner from the hotel. We will stay here again next time we're in Milan for sure.

What an amazing city to host a luxurious italian dream of a hen do and what a hotel to host it in. The divine presidential suite was decadent and spacious; the hot tub on the 3rd floor was epic. All the other rooms were equally glam. Most importantly the hotel was clean, friendly and efficient. Was it is a perfect stay? No. Did the team do everything they could to make our trip and stay memorable? Absolutely. They listened to our feedback and put right the issues we had. We couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast was a fun concoction of hot and cold items all made to a good standard. The grounds are great for sunbathing and lounging. The hotel is walking distance to shops, the subway and a cash point. A special mention to the concierge and to Yveline and her team. An art packed, gelato and aperitivo filled, shop til you drop weekend of amazing can be had through a stay in this hotel AND the best mojito of my life happened here!
We very much enjoyed our stay here. We had a suite so that our 2 teenagers could have separate rooms. The breakfast was extensive with lots of choice. We particularly liked the pancake making machine! Good location for Metro and most must see sights in Milan. Lovely swimming pool but don't forget to take swimming caps.
