Our favorite in Milan

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We’ve been here now several times before and always love to come back. The decor, atmosphere, rooms and lovely breakfast. We‘ll miss the beautiful fragrance they have here. It’s the first thing you notice when entering the lobby. Also, for the first time we used the indoor pool, which was closed during Covid and which we now could thoroughly enjoy. All in all - again - a beautiful stay.

Overall a really good family stay

Great location with the metro 3 straight down the street less than a five mins walk. We had a large room which slept 3 and it had plenty of space and good sized beds. Our room looked over the garden so nice and quiet at night. They did offer coffee and tea facilities but no milk, I had to take a cup and fill it at breakfast and keep it in the fridge. Overall it was clean, spacious and a great location. The only thing that spoilt our stay was on going home we wanted to arrange a taxi to the airport, they are all advertised at a cost of €122 at the airport, uber brings the price up at €124 but when asking the hotel to do a simple task of ordering us a taxi they wanted to charge €150….this just seems very bad customer service when prices are so clearly a lot less than that. It was a shame as it left a bad taste for us and the reception staff on Saturday evening were quite rude about it. Check in staff were lovely though. Overall we would recommend this hotel as it did meet all our needs.

Just book it, wonderful hotel

We were very apprehensive coming here due to some of the reviews but we had found a good deal so decided to go ahead. What a pleasant surprise it was, the previous reviews must have been made by some very petty people wanting a refund of some sort! We are well traveled and have stayed in many lovely hotels, all I can say is BOOK the hotel! The entrance and lobby are gorgeous, clean, such helpful welcoming staff. The room has a traditional regal feel, lovely bath and huge comfortable beds. If you’re paying to stay at the hotel the swimming pool is FREE and so nice! Breakfast is plentiful and a big variety. The restaurant setting upstairs for dinner is beautiful and some aspects of the food were nice but ultimately we didn’t feel it was worth the price.

Worst experience Ever with a Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This was by far the worst experience I've had with a Hotel. The customer service was atrocious and the booking system incoherent. I booked the hotel in December on a non-refundable type booking, added my payment card and then received confirmation. I then check my emails this morning to find BOOKING CANCELLED in my inbox. They sent me an email on Sunday at 3am with a payment link that expired 24 hours later. This then triggered an automatic cancellation. There was no mention of pre-payment on the booking confirmation and it said the hotel had the right to charge the card for any pre-payments which would have been fine. I reached out to them on the Monday roughly 30 hours after the payment link was sent. Who checks their emails on Sudnay after all! They said they couldn't do anything to help other than quoting me new MUCH HIGHER PRICES given I am due to be there next week. I quoted their own booking confirmation and T&Cs and they refused to honour the original price. The whole thing seems like a scam to catch you off guard and then charge you more based on hotel demand. I'll never be looking to stay there again after leaving me with nowhere to stay just 10 days before I am supposed to be there. Not worth the hassle if they can't even stick to their own booking process and terms. Big Avoid!
