Well managed old style hotel, well-located with great, spacious accommodation and exceptional, attentive service. Very good breakfast with variety of dishes. Nice terrace of the restaurant. Best choose if you are looking for a definite 5 star in Milan.

My wife and I entered the bar late on Saturday night for some drinks to be informed that the bar was closing and they were no longer serving. We accepted this and started to move out. The bar manager seemed to take an instant dislike to us not leaving straight away and started getting rude and pushy. My wife stopped to look at the cocktail menu just to see what was on it and the same guy came rushing over and hassling her and jumping down her throat and telling us to leave. This , while there were plenty of people still in the bar. We went outside and we're waiting for a taxi and same guy came chasing us again. Other guests were made to feel awkward and we were made to feel very embarrassed. Not sure what we did to upset him. We are presentable people who could afford to sit and have a quiet drink in nice surroundings, yet this bar manager was rude , harassing , invasive , and , to a point, intimidating, especially to my wife. This is not reflective of other Milanese places we went to and we were very disappointed and saddened. I would advise management to review their staff and their conduct and behaviour at this place. There seems to be some notoriety at this place for arrogant , rude, unpleasant staff.

Have stayed here many times with work over the last few years and every stay has been excellent. This was my first social stay and it lived up to prior visits. Room was a good size with good facilities. Concierge helpful with instructions on how to get to the GP. We used the spa which again had good facilities. All the staff were friendly throughout the hotel. We had a great meal on our last night at acanto and would definitely recommend the assiette dessert selection. Only negative point for me was that the bar was empty on Friday/Saturday evening so lacked a bit of atmosphere ... not sure if this was because the majority of other guests were at F1 events or not

We stayed in October 2015 for two nights at the end of an extended European trip. We stayed in some great hotels but this one took the cake. Everything was immaculate. Not a speck of dust anywhere. Everything was perfection - the room, the gym, the pool, the rooftop terrace, the food, the service, the location. I could not fault anything. I checked in and then didn't leave the hotel again until it was time to fly home.

Went as part of an organised (very large) group. The rooms were exactly as expected - nicely furnished and clean. Great bathroom! The bar staff were particularly good when a large party of Brits arrived late and very, very hungry!
