Reviews for Hotel VIU Milan
We stayed at the Hotel Viu for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. We took a car down from Lugano to Milan. The hotel is located in the Chinatown district of Milan. Its a modern, ecological hotel. Check in was fine. The room itself is a good size, modern with all mod cons. For us being in Chinatown is nice as we have both lived in Asia for over 10 years and my wife is Chinese. The centre of Milan is accessible as there is a tram stop next door and the centre is only 15-20 minutes by tram. There is a nice rooftop pool and bar. I enjoyed going to the roof in the morning and looking at the Southern Alps in the distance. Service was very good. So overall if you want a good value for money 4/5 star modern hotel in Milan, Hotel Viu is one to consider.

New ultra modern hotel. Relatively small, only eight floors. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is too popular. You need reservations to get a table. The chefs are very good and they enjoy visiting with their costumers while cooking. Definitely recommended.

Just returned from a four night stay. The hotel itself is very modern and attractive. The staff in general were friendly and helpful and the waiting staff in the rooftop bar especially so. The spa was very good although not staffed, which I think would be helpful, especially as some of the equipment ‘times out ‘ and needs attention by staff . Also it would ensure that guests are adequately dressed for using the facilities ! We used the ‘Bulk’ restaurant on our first night but we were extremely underwhelmed by the experience. My guess is that the ‘business’ guests eat here regularly and as I guess it’s part of their work they feel it’s fine . However for paying guests it’s far from award winning and quite expensive. The Tram and Metro services are very close to the hotel and very cheap and efficient so getting around and trying the Milanese cuisine is very easy. A few tweaks needed I think especially as it’s relatively newly opened but still a lovely place to stay .
Not one for posting reviews however our stay at the VIU Hotel was so lovely. The Staff were friendly and helpful they couldn’t do enough to make our stay one to remember. The room was well designed from the bathroom the the big comfy bed. We found we were in easy reach of all of Milan with the Metro and Trams on the door step. The food was 1st class from breakfast to evening meal. We enjoyed the delights of China Town sampling some amazing street food. If we every go back to Milan we won’t hesitate in booking this hotel. Thank you VIU staff you know who you are. Ps missing your smiling faces greeting us. Room 406 😘
We only stayed 1 night so can’t cooment on breakfast or use of the pool (although it looked great). We were upgraded to a suite for our birthdays and it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is spotless and smells sooooo good. We found the city quite chaotic so the hotel was a nice sanctuary from that. The area is Chinatown and is very easily accessible by tram. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Good resteraunt nearby. We walked to the duomo which took about 30 minutes but by tram is a lot quicker. Spa area could be improved. Nothing to complain about and I would definitely recommend and stay again if I’m in town.
