If your sweet tooth aches when you check into Meliá Milano, there might still be sugar in the building’s bones: This used to be the site of Alemagna cake factory, famous for inventing the traditional Christmas cake panettone. The factory was leveled in World War II, and an elegant hotel took its place in 2001. Rooms are outfitted in rich, neutral colors with heavy brocaded drapes and gilded gold embellishments. For a modern change of pace, book the Diabolik Comic Experience Room, a noire-style tribute to the Italian comic hero.

We checked in today w/the clerk asking us to up grade. Good thing we didn’t. The agent neglected to tell us we had no hot water from 3-5 pm. We have been up traveling since 6am and a hot shower would be nice. The furniture is old & the bed is low to the floor. It’s a dump. Robert & Maria Anderson 4/4/2024

A wonderful hotel with absolutely outstanding service! We stayed in a Level room and it was fabulous. We received a wonderful welcome from Laura at the Level Lounge on arrival at the hotel. Laura is exceptional at her job and such a lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful person. Laura made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Carlos in the Level Lounge was such a wonderful person, nothing was too much trouble and he made sure that we had everything we needed. He was a joy to speak with and a fun and friendly person. It was my mums birthday and the hotel ensured her stay was very special. The food in the restaurant was also very nice. Anna Maria at downstairs reception was also very helpful. We had such a great time that we considered staying an extra night!! Thank you to Laura, Carlos, Anna Maria for everything! I have stayed in multiple 5 star hotels but the service we received at Melia Milano, especially by you was by far the best, totally amazing. Our stay could not have been better! We will be back to stay again at Melia Milano. The hotel and service was so good I am now checking which other places have Melia hotels in order to plan our summer trip!

I’m at this hotel at present. For the most part it is lovely, clean and staff are great. The only problem is every night the chefs come out on breaks in the inner courtyard and are SO loud and inconsiderate of guests, it is ruining our nights and our sleep.

Overall, the hotel is very good. However, the sound proofing in the rooms is very poor. I was given a room that had a connecting door to an adjacent room. The walls were so thin that I could hear the next room brushing their teeth, unzipping their suitcase, walking around, opening doors and watching TV, especially at night. When I was trying to sleep, light from the connecting door was coming into my room. Noise from the hallways is also an issue.

Modern, clean & comfortable, with large comfortable rooms & generally good service all round, with an excellent breakfast offering as well, not to mention same restaurant in the evenings serves some excellent food! The only gripe would be the sometimes slow & haphazard service experienced in the bar 🤷♂️?!
