Starhotels Rosa Grand

Luxury in the middle of Milan. We were ushered in by helpful doormen, welcomed in by the friendly reception & shown to the bar because we arrived before our rooms were ready-but this wasn’t a problem as the bar was very well air conditioned & served fabulous gin & tonics. When we did get to see our rooms, we weren’t disappointed as they were beautifully appointed! A massive bed, a pillow menu, robes, slippers, you name it-it was there. The breakfast every morning though, was the star of the show. Again-if it was breakfasty, it was in the buffet, plus a few more unusual bits….green beans, basmati rice & a huge whole Gorgonzola…it was everything you’d want or didn’t realise you wanted. All the staff throughout the hotel were impeccable & our three days spent there were heavenly.

We had a great stay at the Rosa Grand Milano! It is central to everything in Milano with the Duomo Milano next door as well as shopping & did I say SHOPPING!!! When leaving we caught a taxi from the hotel front door to the Milano Centrale Rail Station. However when the taxi drove off we realised we’d left our backpack with all our tickets in the Taxi 😳🤯 I rang the Rosa Grand Concierge Desk & explained to Fabio what had happened. He said leave it with him & he would see what he could do! 30 mins later he rang back & said he had found it & had it returned to the hotel. After doing a dash back to the hotel & straight back to the station we retrieved our bag full of our rail & other tickets👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thankfully our train was 42 mins late, so we just made it! A HUGE “SHOUT OUT” to FABIO for going above & beyond, finding & then getting our bag back to us! GAZIE GRAZIE GRAZIE - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU 🙏

Hotel was excellent - clean and very comfortable. Beds were heavenly. Housekeeping staff was inconsistent. Front desk staff very helpful and accommodating. Concierge was exceptional. Faboo jead concierge was went above and beyond to assist us with museums, transportation, recommendations and problem solving! Restaurant was very good - convenient after a long day; wait staff was attentive and courteous. We would definitely recommend this hotel and staff. We would stay here again. Grazie to the Rosa Grande hotel!!

While the location is amazing, the service is hit and miss. Generally I found the service quite good - some staff put in a lot more effort which was really appreciated and others, not so much. Consistency would be appreciated. I also asked for a room with an open aspect and was put at the end of a hallway at the end of the hotel looking onto a concrete wall. I did not appreciate this at all. It was depressing and the room was not as presented in the hotel website pictures - it was run down and missing cushions etc. I also ordered and paid for an E class Mercedes to take me to the airport and was put into a minivan. This is completely unacceptable. I wouldn't stay there again as the whole vibe is off. I prefer a hotel that is warm, friendly, inviting and prioritises it's customers and their needs.

I booked this hotel because of its wonderful location ( behind the Duomo) but did not know it. Well, it is an absolute gem! You enter a cool, elegant space that smells gorgeous. The staff are impeccably polite and helpful and ,to add delight to my 60th birthday trip , we were shown to our room personally (by the very helpful Mirko) where we discovered that we had been upgraded to a beautiful room with a gorgeous bathroom. Additionally, we were able to use the VIP lounge which was cool, spacious and stocked with delicious snacks. The service and care that we received made my birthday weekend so very special. I thank the team hugely for their beautiful hotel .
