The Starhotels Rosa Grande is a block away from the Milan Cathedral; just far enough away to be in its own much quieter piazza. Upon arrival we were impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff at Reception. This attitude continued throughout all of the Hotel facilities. The room we enjoyed appeared to have been recently renovated; it was spacious and had excellent bathroom facilities. The Hotel had an attractive bar area, served an excellent breakfast buffet and a had a pleasant restaurant fronting onto the piazza. The quality of food at all venues was excellent and again the staff came to the fore offering good knowledge of the menu and making suggestions when required. The Hotel Gymnasium and Business Centre were both well equipped and easily met our needs. We enjoyed our stay in a Hotel that is highly recommended. .

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting Milan for the Bruno Mars concert. It's location is fantastic, right next to the Duomo and the Metro. We were upgraded to an Executive room free of charge and the room facilities were excellent. The super-king size bed with its memory foam mattress was incredibly comfortable but the pillows were wafer thin and we had to ask for extra pillows. The room had a kettle, with supplies for tea and coffee making, and a mini bar which we did not use. There were also complimentary bottles of water, together with free wifi all around the hotel which had adequate download speed. The bathroom was a decent size with an ample supply of toiletries and each night there was a turn down service. Breakfast was provided as part of our booking and there was a wide array of foods available, both hot and cold, which were very tasty. We did not dine at the hotel as there were so many bars and restaurants nearby. We did however have our "nightcap" in the bar and whilst the drinks were a bit pricey they came with a good supply of complimentary snacks. We did not use the gym, which is actually quite difficult to find on one of the upper floors. There was very little equipment in there, with no free weights, and it was very dark and Uni citing! We were disappointed with the service in the hotel, which was at best average, with little engagement from most of the staff. Interaction with them seemed very "transactional" - at odds with our experience elsewhere in the City and not befitting a hotel of this standard. But overall I'd recommend this hotel as s great base for your stay in Milan.

Our tour group stayed here two nights and this was the most modern and classy hotel I've been in this trip to Europe. Part of the building is older, and the front part a modern addition. The room was quite cushy, for sure. I made a few comments about some of the plumbing fixtures not quite working properly, but this is a very good hotel. I would certainly stay here again.
