Reviews for Galleria Vik Milano

Terrible experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Fabulous location, but nothing but problems in this hotel. First day no hot water, elevator not working, lights not working, digital access to room not working. Second day we had hot water and lights and elevator worked, but the air conditioning didn’t work in the room or bathroom. They made a small concession and comped our dinner, but altogether a terrible, stressful experience. The food in their restaurant was excellent, as was the service.

Modern luxury and comfort with an artistic touch

Very comfortable - bathrooms well equipped. Quirky decor and art throughout the hotel. The restaurant is spacious with a great view into the Galleria. This is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Dinner was great - lovely flavours and attractively presented. The breakfast selection is very good - my only disappointment being the cappuchino which was somewhat lacking. The staff were efficient and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Amazing stay that needs to be experienced, well worth it

An amazing team in such a beautiful hotel. Everyone really made our stay very special, so friendly, helpful and just brilliant. I had booked our stay for my husband’s special birthday and the whole team definitely made it special for us, the atmosphere and ethos of this hotel is well worth experiencing. Fantastic location to, right in the middle of everything, easy to walk out and see all the sights. Very beautiful hotel with amazing interior and features. We will definitely be back.

Inside the Galleria Vik

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

The Galleria Vik hotel is part of the Galleria and therefore great for all the activities in this area. Our room had a balcony that looked out over the Galleria. This is an old hotel so the rooms are a little quirky but that adds to the charm. the dining area also looks out on the Galleria and in hindsight we should have eaten dinner here than the more touristic restaurants in the Galleria. Breakfast was very good and again we looked out right down on the Bull that you need to stand on. Everything was great in the hotel and the staff extremely friendly. There is a long corridor to get to the rooms but our room was very well appointed.

Excellent Stay

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and it was an awesome experience. Of course the hotel is very centrally located. The breakfast restaurant is is under the Dome overlooking the center of the Galleria. We basically walk everywhere from the hotel to all the major spots. Very convenient to go to other places if you want to. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the Milan Central Station on the day we left. The hotel is a boutique hotel with a lot of arts in the lobby, corridors and rooms. As a Hyatt Globalist, we received a room upgrade and of course with the breakfast. We even got a bottle of Champagne on arrival as a celebration. Hotel staffs are supper nice and helpful. One thing I have to say, some reviewer mentioned mosquito in the room. Yes, there are plenty of mosquitos around but if you don't open the windows of the room there is no problem. It is so attempting to open the windows though.
