Reviews for Relais Palazzo Viviani
Everything I've seen in charming Italian movies contemporary and from the past has materialized here: the palazzo edification, the décor, the facilities, and even lovely affectionate cats were all here waiting for me. It's really really hard to be impartial with this place because it is so gorgeous; I've never been to a place that made me feel I was starring in wonderful Italian movie full of good taste, art, antiquities and history. This is how movie stars (discerning ones) must live! It welcomes you with the medieval construction that does not fail to impress; it is so well-taken care of it will make you wonder of all the people who had taken the same foot steps you are. Staff could not be more friendly; they'll gladly suggest you places for dinner (use gps or you would not find anything) to directions for all the services with big smiles. In your room (we stayed at the most modest one but all are equally magical) no detail has been spared to preserve the charming aura; from the window shutters, to the furniture, to the linen drapes, to the impressive wood beams on the ceiling. It all is impeccably clean too. The pool is nested among large trees and it is surrounded by comandeering views that stretch to the Adriatic sea. Breezes ease the heat irradiated from the stone and brick. At night, a multitude of crickets will lull you to sleep. Walking the bourg is something so fantastic it can't be described with words; you must visit this place and empty your camera: there is not enough memory in a cellphone to capture the beauty, charm, and historic air of this place. Yes! I am drunk with visual beauty and wonder! I don't want to wake up from this dream!

Went there with three children. Beautiful surroundings. Friendly and very hardworking staff. Quiet and serene. Child friendly. Value for money. Would go again. The location in the hills meant that there is some distance to shops and restaurants which was the only negative. There were two local restaurants one which was run by the hotel. Beautiful views down to the Rimini shore. Visited Riccione and the visit only emphasized how perfect we had it in Montegrifoldo. Good for families and also excellent for romantic getaways.
We stayed at the Relais Palazzo Viviani during August 2017 - and it was an amazing experience! We found it through search on different booking platforms and Google Earth, as we wanted something withdrawn from the touristic Rimini area, but still close enough to the beaches. The surroundings are astonishing, the atmosphere is so relaxed and people are friendly. The hotel have english speaking personel, but many people in the 'Castello' only speak Italien - but don't worry, they are very friendly and you will find out all you need to know! The staff at the local restaurant are extremely friendly and we felt very nicely treated. The local 'Street Food' cafe was good and we felt home no matter where we went. The hotel facility are very good, rooms were clean and beds were nicely comfortable (not too soft). There is a small pool which is nice. We would absolutely recommend this hotel/Castello. It is most suited for a nice romantic stay where you just want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere together. We however went as a family and enjoyed it as well. For kids, the place itself may be less interesting after 2-3 days, but fortunately there are so many nice places in the area to visit, and the beaches are within 30 minutes driving distance. We always enjoy experiencing something new, but may return to this fantastic area again :-)
Montegridolfo is a small village in Emelia- Romana region that is dominated by the medieval castle. The castle is more or less a village inside the walls of the castle with restaurants and private dwellings as well as the hotel. We were allocated a self contained apartment, but there were rooms as well inthe hotel where other guests were accommodated. Breakfast was offered in an anex to the main hotel building. The hotel held functions such as wedding receptions in this anex. While staying we had dinner in a restaurant run independantly of the hotel. In season there is a choice of restaurants. As well in the courtyard near the main gate the hotel offered a bar. If you are staying here out of season check with the hotel what restaurants are open. Parking was fine in the street outside the main gate and we were collected and transported on a small cart with our luggage to our apartment.

We stayed with friends and family for our Italian wedding a week at Palazzo Viviani. What a unique romantic atmosphere. The view was fabulous. The staff had a great hospitality and was very friendly. The breakfast buffet and dinner were very tasteful. A lot of choices on the menu. We stayed in an appartment for a few days and a suite. Authentic and romantic elements were in every room. The swimming pool was big enough and the overview from the pool was beautiful. Around the Palazzo it was very quiet and we loved the feeling of privacy. Nearby the castle there is lot to see and go to. For example the sea, Urbino, restaurants and other small typical Italian villages. The Palazzo is certainly a place to go back to.
