Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa

The Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa was an outstanding spot for a family vacation with our college-age daughter! We felt pampered and welcome in all the spaces and by every staff person we encountered. The property has it all plus amazing views, especially from the roof top hot tubs! The location was perfect, we could walk out the door and go any direction to find wonders of nature, excellent food, and interesting community life. The room was super clean and very spacious with heavenly comfortable beds. Having the lobby with the ocean views, the spa with the hot tubs and fireside seating area, and Tidal Coffee on the Plaza/Terrace truly gave us the feeling that we were at a resort and made the per night cost feel full of value.

We have been visiting the Monterey Plaza for several years. It’s our favorite place! So wam and inviting staff. If you can’t have a good time at the Monterey Plaza it’s your own fault. You will love your time there!

The Plaza is an amazing hotel. The staff are always exceptional. It’s pricey, but worth it when you want to be truly pampered. We booked the Black Friday special and it helped with cost. You just can’t beat the location and the experience.

MPH is a marvelous stay. The setting is gorgeous, the facility is elegant, and the staff are wonderfully attentive and really work hard to make one's stay memorable. For example, we were at MPH for a business function. We made an impromptu decision to get cakes in celebration of one of our colleagues who will soon be leaving the organization. The concierge was helping other guests, so I went to the front desk to ask about local bakeries. Giana not only suggested a few good choices (including identifying vegan options). She took the time to call a couple of places and ask about availability, to ensure there were options for one of our team with dietary restrictions, and how soon we could pick-up the cakes. She was kind, thorough, and professional with us and the bakeries. Her assistance and recommendations made our last-minute celebration a complete success. Thank you, Giana!

This hotel is special on many levels. The director of front desk operations and staff were warm, friendly, generous, and kind. The Hotel is stunning with a view of the ocean from all restaurants and chosen rooms. We stayed in an oceanfront room that was lovely with comfortable beds, a nice tub, and a balcony that afforded us endless sounds of the ocean, and 3 otter sightings! The food and room service was exceptional as well. The in-room coffee was actually really good, a real bonus. The hotel checked all the important boxes. A rare find these days. With prices up for most things, we visited with a 25% off deal, and felt like we got our monies worth due to the quality of our experience. Deeply grateful.
