My husband and I went mid February for a get away and stayed for 8 nights. The room was beautiful and suited our needs, but the service we received was awful. On arrival (Sunday, Feb 15), we were advised of an option to have our room cleaned less frequently for a savings of $5 per day that it isn't cleaned. We chose to have our room cleaned every three days. We got there on Sunday and they cleaned for the first time on Wednesday. They missed emptying one garbage can (not a big deal) and didn't replace the extra toilet paper (could be a big deal). By Friday, we were running quite low on toilet paper and I called front desk (at 2:30pm) to ask for some extra. No one came. We went out for dinner at 5:30. When we came back at 8:30, we stopped at the front desk to ask again for toilet paper. We were told that they wouldn't have provided it to us previously because we had our do not disturb sign up (I think that's a poor excuse but willing to accept that could be a reason). We went up to our room (removed the do not disturb sign) and waited half an hour - still no toilet paper. I called again to request, for the third time, that they provide us with toilet paper. A man came to the door in 5 minutes with one roll. Then came back 5 minutes later to provide an additional two rolls. Definitely have enough now - LOL. We were due for a cleaning on Saturday and made sure not to have the do not disturb sign on the door. We left for breakfast and some sightseeing by 10:00am and came back at 2:00pm thinking the room would be cleaned. It wasn't. They never came. When we left for dinner (5:30pm) we stopped at the front desk to ask about the cleaning and getting fresh towels and were told that they would get us fresh towels, but it was too late in the day to have the room cleaned, but if we called the next day to remind them, they would come and clean the room. I wasn't aware that it was our responsibility to remind them to clean rooms. During our 8 day stay, we only had our room cleaned once, and they missed a key component of restocking the room - toilet paper. Additionally, noise was a factor. Our room overlooked Saint Sulpice and foot traffic was quite loud. After a snow fall, the plows were very noisy. We were also directly across the hall from the supply closet and one night after midnight, I had to ask a staff member who was working in that room to turn his radio down. He had it turned up loud enough I could hear everything clearly in our room. The room itself was very nice. Only downside is there is not sufficient closet/cupboard space to unpack clothes. It would be nice to have some drawers to unpack clothes into so that we don't have to live out of suitcases the whole time. On the good side, we were a block and a half from Notre-Dame Basillica (beautiful) and there are many restaurants and shops in the area. It was very easy to get anywhere we wanted to go.

This visit was to celebrate my husband`s 70th birthday. Sarah, the concierge was amazing and helped me arrange a delicious birthday cake from a pastry shop just 5 minutes away. ALL of the staff were wonderful and welcoming. They really made our visit special. The room was huge and we enjoyed every minute that we spent in it. The kitchenette was a great added plus, dishes, cuttlery and more. The hotel is located a minute away from the Notre Dame Cathedral and we love Old Montreal. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel when you want to feel spoiled. The room attendents were excellent and they did a wonderful job sprucing it up for us every day. Again, Saint Sulpice was excellent.

The rooms are spacious, quiet for the most part (other than snowplows outside) and in a beautiful part of the city. I would stay again. Great rooms, well equipped and the staff was fantastic. I don't speak French but was treated with respect and had no issues. I would recommend this property to anyone staying in the area, or in Montreal.

We went over the July 4 holiday and stayed at Le Saint-Sulpice Hotel in Montreal, which was a great luxury suites hotel. Everything was easy on the booking end and the package was as good or better than stated.

I stayed at Le Saint-Sulpice in Montreal from the 1st to the 4th of November, 2004, and I absolutely loved it and am hoping to go back in the summer. So, without a doubt my experience was a very happy one. Thank You.
