Reviews for Le Saint Sulpice
Le Saint-Sulpice was our choice based largely on its location in old town Montreal, especially given our interest in observing the new years fireworks. The location was excellent and we were well pleased with the front desk and concierge staff. The rooms were ample, not large and showing some evidence of their age. Unfortunately the cleaning was not up to scratch, as was the experience of other reviewers. The Murphy bed was already down on our arrival but under the bed were old wrappers and water bottles which had been left by a past guest. This leads one to question other roles undertaken by the cleaners. The turndown service was good although we would have loved for the weather advice cards left to have said something other than 30 degrees below zero. Not much that Le Saint-Sulpice could do about that. We did not try the restaurant although the large number of excellent restaurants within a 2 minute walk would lead you to think there would be better options. The location was great for the new years fireworks and the subway and there were coffee shops and convenience stores nearby. If you are stepping outside of the conventional bigger names in Montreal this is a worthwhile considerations, especially when the location is taken into account.

We went to Montreal for Thanksgiving and stayed here. What a lovely hotel, fantastic location, helpful, caring staff, and quite affordable given what we got. I can’t imagine how lovely it would be to be there in the summer. We highly recommend it.

Perfect for us. 2 adults, 4 children and a baby 2 nights the room they suggested for us was perfect including a little kitchen area there was lots of activities close to the hotel. We went to the science museum, Imax and we did the big wheel. The service at the hotel was very fast and friendly! we will do it again

We had 3 lovely nights at the Saint-Sulpice in an Executive Queen Suite. The suite was large and comfortable and had a wood burning fireplace which we particularly enjoyed because it was very cold outside! The little kitchenette is well-equipped and spotless. The concierge, front desk and bell desk staff were outstanding- all of them. Never have I experienced such excellent, gracious and friendly service. They helped us with reservations, a hair appointment, directions and suggestions of where to visit. We enjoyed coffee and drinks in the cozy lobby bar and sitting area outside of the Sinclair restaurant. We had a relaxing breakfast every morning in the Sinclair. This hotel is particularly well situated in Old Montreal and has easy access to the Metro as well as many other points of interest in Montreal. If needed, the staff will get you a taxi within minutes. It is an older, boutique-European style hotel and so suitable for Old Montreal! In summer there is an outdoor terrace that would be great because it is secluded from the street. We would be very happy to stay there again! Thanks for making our stay so pleasant!

My wife and I try to get to Old Montreal every winter and have stayed at different hotels, but since we found La Saint-Sulpice we would not go anywhere else. The Valet parking attendants are great and are always quick to meet you at the car, or have it waiting by the front door when you request it. The front desk is always very informative and have great suggestions for meals and places to visit. We had a deluxe king suite and it was huge, with a kitchenette and massive bathroom. You could not have asked for more. We have never tried the restaurant but have heard it is very good. The service is excellent from all the staff....being from Ontario with a limited understanding of French, this has never been an issue, and we are not treated like we are bothering anyone if we speak english. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Old Montreal, the location is excellent as well.
