Stylish

Another great Germain offering. Slick rooms, excellent sleep, popular bar and a tremendous 2nd floor restaurant/breakfast area. Located 15 minutes walk up from the main station (get a cab) and at the foot of Mount Royal/university area, it was in a smart spot. Its only demerit is the lack of decent restaurants in the immediate area and the 30-35 minute walk to the heart of the historic old port area and its dozens of restaurants. We walked it with no great hardship but you might want to cab it in one direction at least. Still highly recommend the hotel.

A Memorable Stay with Great Service

We stayed at this hotel in July and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and well-appointed, offering a perfect place to relax and visit Montreal. The staff was also excellent. The valet, Abrahima, was very helpful with our luggage, always retrieved our car quickly, always smiling, friendly and highly intelligent in his interactions. Mr. Lambert was also very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. The only major downside was the elevators. They were frequently unavailable and very slow, which became quite frustrating, especially during peak times. Despite the elevator issue, the welcoming staff and cozy rooms made our stay highly enjoyable. We would gladly return!

Superb hotel. The rooms are well designed and very comfortable. The staff are helpful, friendly and very professional. The location is near the center of things in downtown, but just enough away so that it is very quiet. We brought our pup with us - and the campus of nearby McGill University (a 2 minute walk from the hotel entrance) was the perfect place for him to do his business. The fitness room on the 17th floor is well equipped and has wonderful views from its picture windows. An outstanding value considering the overall quality and service provided. We will definitely stay here again.

Modern, clean and quiet hotel with attentive service

We liked staying at Le Germaine Montreal hotel. It was clean and quiet. The location was great, close to both Peel and McGill stations as well as the Eaton Centre. The staff were attentive and friendly. They open the door for you. I also liked the filtered water stations on every floor. I initially did not like that there was no privacy when using the shower but I got used to it. There is no breakfast included but there is a good selection of restaurants in the area. There is a fitness centre on the 17th floor.

Great accommodation, would definitely stay here again

Nice Hotel. A little far from the old town for my tired old body so we did succumb to taxis to get us around. A fitter person would have no problem with the walk though. Lovely room, massive, and comfy bed, clean room and quiet. Breakfasts were lovely. We were room and breakfast so were allowed up to 26 Dollars on the menu but that covered a wide variety of breakfasts including Eggs Benedict. The only thing we had to pay extra for was an extra 5 dollars for the vegetarian Eggs Benedict and a bowl of fruit, everything else, tea, coffee, juice was included. Staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Probably the best breakfast we ate in our 3 week tour of Canada. We ate in the restaurant on one evening which was very nice and outside in the bar patio when we first got there, the ravioli with mushroom goats cheese sauce was delicious. Great staff, very helpful, concierge was lovely, although she offered to book us Afternoon Tea at the Ritz but unfortunately booked it for the wrong day BUT she did everything she could to rectify the situation so it was really no problem. She was very helpful in every other way so we had no complaints.
