This large big box convention type hotel is centrally located in the downtown area. It is very close to the a nice shopping boulevard, the university, and within reasonable walking distance to old town. It is modern in style and a little sterile, however, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. For such a large, busy hotel, the front desk staff, the bellmen and the concierges provided excellent service. Thank you to Stephanie for some wonderful restaurant recommendations and reservations! The breakfast room had a very nice French Canadian style buffet. Not to be missed is the Nacarat Bar where the true mixologists make wonderfully innovative craft cocktails—don’t be scared of the descriptions—they all are delicious. A very pleasant place to stay in Montreal.

Travelled by train, hotel is right by the station. Hotel has been renovated since my last visit and it is very nice. Close to many business locations, restaurants and stores. I will definitely go back either for business or pleasure....

The fairmont hotel is very fancy, the staff were very friendly and willing to help. Is in a great location and a safe area. The annoying part of staying here was the mini bar fridge, theres no additional space for anything you need to keep cold and if you remove any items it automatically puts that on your bill.

Newly renovated excellent hotel. We were there for a weekend business conference. Excellent venue for that with nice meeting rooms, bar, and a really good walk-up coffee shop in the lobby for espresso, light snacks, etc, with a really nice staff. Very comfortable rooms, like our one BR King suite with very comfortable beds and conveniences. And again a very nice housekeeping staff. The hotel is walking distance to Vieux Montreal (about an easy half mile), and the Sherbooke/St Catherine/Museum areas, so plenty of dining options and main sights of Montreal nearby. Great place to stay.

The QE renovations are excellent. Rooms are a good size, excellent retro 60's feel. Even though bathrooms are small, they are well designed with nice clean lines. Gold floor is lovely. The food in Roselyn's (the bar) is fabulous albeit expensive, but it seems all Montreal restaurant food is. (I tried The Keg one night across the street - although slightly less expensive, the food was horrible. Do not recommend there!)
