This hotel is located above the Via Canada train station. If you arrive on a day or evening when the weather is not pleasant, no problem. You can take a lift to the hotel from the train station. My room, a bit small, quite comfortable, a buffet breakfast was available. Many choices to select from. My second stay at this hotel.

We stayed at Fairmont Queen Elizabeth in Montreal for the Paul McCartney concert. The site of John & Yoko's Bed In seemed like the place to stay to us. We traveled to Montreal by train, so location could not be beat! We could get to the Bell Centre inside, or down a couple of streets quickly and easily. We were able to check in to our room on arrival. Tristan at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful it got our experience off to the best start. We then realized all staff was amazing and professional, yet friendly and welcoming and always helpful. Our room seemed recently renovated and was perfect and spotless. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Furnishings and decor was lovely. We found our room very quiet, but we were far from elevators. We didnt hear any doors closing or any guests in the hall. Everything in the room worked as it should. We ordered room service breakfast and it exceeded our expectations. It was all delicious! We enjoyed the pool. It is small, but it wasn't crowded when we went, so we were able to swim. Everything was awesome and we will stay again! Great location any time of year with access to stores and restaurants underground no boots and jackets required.

My wife and I just enjoyed five terrific days at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth on Boul. Rene-Levesque. We stayed in one of the suites that had access to the 21st Floor daily breakfast, and the stay was well worth it! the food and the staff every morning were great, even helping me assemble breakfast trays to take to my wife, flowers included, made me look like a hero! Roselys' was great for lunch, dinner and cocktails, including waiter Dominic and bartender Michel St. Martin, who created the drink on the menu "Montrealer". Housekeeping was amazing every day, as was all the staff. Nice workout gym, but we were too busy to take advantage of the pool. Very enjoyable time, helped make my wife's first trip to Montreal incredible! Paul Cardinal

In a week we stayed at 4 Fairmonts in Canada. As Gold members we are regulars. Sadly their Montreal hotel did not live up to expecations. We are regular travellers and like to use the mini bars to chill our water bottles overnight. Here they operate small fridges chock full with cans and bottles. We asked if we could remove some for our bottles, but were told no, anything removed is charged for. No exceptions. We checked with both the conceiege lounge and at reception. Same answer. quite annoying as was the staffs arrogance and indifference. Then the breakfast server was the worst of our trip, lousy service, even spilling coffee. He did not warrant a tip. Alas the hotel charged us for one anyway. To cap it all off i booked a bellboy to assist with luggage who simply didnt turn up. With a flight to catch we had to lug it all down to the basement, where at least the valets had the car waiting. A blight on the Fairmont brand.

Nothing terribly wrong with this hotel but nothing terribly noteworthy. It’s a large, convention-like place which is fine for conferences and business people but has no soul. Would never spend a couple’s trip there. Rooms are well designed and appointed but small. Modern and clean but my room was probably only 250 sf. But it worked. There is a good convenience store and takeout place in the lobby and it’s conveniently located above the main train station. My valet parking experience was not great. I pulled up to the front around 8 pm and there was no valet or bellman. I had to register at the front desk inside and tell them my car was on the curb. Calling in for my car when I needed it was sometimes a bit slow. So, average experience and would discourage non-business use.

I enjoyed three nights at the Queen Elizabeth in May 2024 and could not have been more pleased, with just a few exceptions. Let's start with the positive first. Every staff person I encountered was extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and kind. The Signature amenities were explained to me without my having to ask. I was greeted by name almost without exception and the person who cleaned my room left me the nicest note thanking me for a tip I'd left. It's those little things that make such a difference.
Everything about the property has been recently updated and it looks great. The fitness center is especially modern and well-equipped. The key cards are wooden rather than plastic -- another small detail that made my stay more memorable. The cocktail bar is hopping with a DJ and inventive cocktails - worth the price in opinion. In terms of location, you couldn't ask for anything better. Just steps away from the main shopping and entertainment areas, metro stations, and railway.
Now a few gripes. I booked a 420 sq ft. Deluxe Room which was supposed to have a view. I was upgraded to a Jr. Suite of the same size, but without a view and felt small. But for a family, it would be perfect because the two rooms are separate and the living area has a powder room. But the view... any room that is on the back side of the hotel looks out over the rooftops of office buildings and nothing more. Be sure to request a room with a view of the Cathedral or the plaza. And... the bathroom was tiny! I mean, really tiny.
The restaurant's buffet breakfast was as expected. Aren't all buffets the same no matter where you are? I ate dinner there the first night and it was excellent, but I never returned because the menu was so limited. Not even a salad! Fortunately, the room service menu offered a little more variety.
Final note: for spa lovers, the Queen Elizabeth has what I consider treatment rooms, not a spa. There is no relaxation room, hydrotherapy circuit, etc. However, the fitness center has a nice pool and Jacuzzi and the large changing rooms have single-sex saunas. I'd rate this property and my experience a 4-1/2 and would definitely stay again.

My whole family loved our stay at the Queen Elizabeth. It is a perfect location especially after taking the train from Quebec to Montreal. Our dinner at The Beaver Club was the highlight of my trip to Canada. It is quite rare when you dine in a restaurant that has lovely ambiance, exemplary service, and food which makes your taste buds jump for joy.

I was amazed with the service of the hotel, all your requests and info needs are fulfilled, and with great speed. The location is excellent in the downtown of Montreal.

I recently visited Montreal. My stay at the Queen Elizabeth was such a delightful experience I will not soon forget. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is out of this world, they really make you feel like you are important, like someone very special, they seem to go out of their way to help you. A special thanks to Viviane who works at the front desk, she was so helpful and thoughtful, a real gem. I also would like to thank César who was a great help. They are top of the line. By the way, the food and service at The Beaver Club is excellent.
