I was here with my two of my friends for new years and we had a great time! Amazing location and the staff were very helpful and nice! Just a walking distance to the city centre. Definitely a good place to stay if your in the Montreal.

We were excited about our first visit to Montreal. We were staying at the Queen Victoria which was in a great location from which we could explore the city. As it turned out it was a great location but not a great hotel. She badly needs a major facelift. The lobby, the elevators, the halls, the rooms and the restaurants all look tired and worn out.

We stayed here in the summer of 2015.Very nice location to reach all downtown destinations.Shame hotel is so dated. As if we were transported back to the French Connection era.Maybe management should request the same or similar designer who refurbished The Royal York Hotel in Toronto City.Fairmont Group also.... Breakfast food was great as it was cooked by a French chef at the service counter.

We stayed at the Fairmont Hotel in May of 2016 - we were there for a conference. The venue is lovely - but the hotel really does need some renovations. As the hotel is older, the rooms are very small. So small in fact, that we need to put our suitcase on the window sill of the room. The walls were paper thin - and not the cleanest. Dark smudges on the carpet and walls - not sure if this is a cleaning issue, or if the rooms are just impossibly dated. Badly chipped door frames did not add to the general ambience of disrepair. Like other Fairmont's, not all of the rooms come with a safe. We had to move rooms to get a safe for our passports, laptop computers, Ipads, etc. This would represent a small investment on the part of the hotel - and really is mandatory if you are hosting large groups of conference participants. WiFi is not included either - which I just don't understand in these days. Parking very expensive. Beds are not the most expensive - you can forgive a lot if you get a good nights sleep. Pillows were awful, and we were not even provided with enough towels for two people. Really should not need to call for extra towels - especially if there are only two of us! I have a Fairmont membership and have stayed at lots of their other locations. Not nearly as nice, clean or kept-up. Good location - but plenty of other hotels in Montreal have good locations too. Definitely not deserving of a 4 star rating. Would not recommend.
