Reviews for Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth

Classy!

Well-appointed rooms. We were on a gold floor and it was worth the extra cost. Lounge was great- breakfast and canapés from 5 to 7, staff were amazing. Roselys restaurant was very good. Easy walk to shopping on Ste-Catherine, and very short walk to Bell Centre.

Jaded, in need of updating.

This was the 3rd Fairmont hotel we stayed during our trip to Canada (the Royal York and the Chateau Laurier were the others) and this was not a pleasant experience. The furniture in the room was chipped; the bed had some unpleasant plastic undersheet that made you sweat; the sheets were 'pilled' and seemed like they had been washed so many times they had turned cream. And we had to pay $2 per bag to store our luggage on the last morning. Luggage storage was free in the others. This is a massive hotel and there just wasn't any personal touch. This hotel is in desperate need of modernising and unlike the other 2 Fairmonts we stayed in I didn't feel at all like this was a luxurious experience. Quite the opposite. Really disappointing.

Convenient choice for business travel

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while on business in Montreal. It is typical of other historical Fairmont properties. Here were the highlights: - Front desk service - I was asked whether I minded a room right by the elevator, which I thought was very considerate. I took the room as it meant early check in and a nice view of the Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral next door. The elevator didn’t bother me at all, though you could hear it from the bathroom - Well laid out room with access to room lights and power outlets right by the bed - Nespresso machine, small safe, robes - Rooms in the front of the hotel have a view of The Ring at Place Ville Marie across the street - Location very convenient for business meetings in banking district - Huge, well equipped gym Cons: - Charge to store baggage of $2/bag which is not expected at a hotel of this quality - Hairdryer is travel-size

We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. Andrew at the gold club was very friendly and helpful. Our first time staying at a Fairmont property and we were very impressed. Will be back again next time in town.

My whole family loved our stay at the Queen Elizabeth. It is a perfect location especially after taking the train from Quebec to Montreal. Our dinner at The Beaver Club was the highlight of my trip to Canada. It is quite rare when you dine in a restaurant that has lovely ambiance, exemplary service, and food which makes your taste buds jump for joy.

I was amazed with the service of the hotel, all your requests and info needs are fulfilled, and with great speed. The location is excellent in the downtown of Montreal.

I recently visited Montreal. My stay at the Queen Elizabeth was such a delightful experience I will not soon forget. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is out of this world, they really make you feel like you are important, like someone very special, they seem to go out of their way to help you. A special thanks to Viviane who works at the front desk, she was so helpful and thoughtful, a real gem. I also would like to thank César who was a great help. They are top of the line. By the way, the food and service at The Beaver Club is excellent.
