We arrived at midnight at the concierge Timothy was extremely helpful and accommodating. He brought the wine we ordered and even made us our pizza. All the staff were helpful beyond our expectations and truly went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are exquisite, clean and well appointed. We sincerely loved our two night stay and will return. Thank you to all the staff! Maud and Wade Boulton

I stayed there for two nights. And found discrepancies of charge on my account. When I called to ask for a break down. It has been a pain to communicate with the accounting (shifting between U.S and Canadian dollar. One lady gave total amount that's $40 short and another just jack up the breakdown , which still doesn't adds up to what I was OVER-charged to). I finally gave it up. But suggest anyone who stays there asking for a printed bill (and review them) when you decided to stay there.

I was stranded mid week in Montreal courtesy of Air Canada and was really not impressed by any of the options near Dorval, so I decided to go downtown and was able to get a last minute rate at the Hotel Gault. Simply amazing hotel. I arrived well after midnight the day of a heavy snow and the charming young man on the front desk came out to the street to help me with my bag. Before checking me in he offered me a coffee or tea. Then he showed me the room. And wow what a room! From the huge soaker tub to the luxurious linens this place is spot on. There was even a little welcome card addressed to me with a plate of cookies in the room. This was one of the quietest hotel rooms I have stayed in. Really had a great night’s sleep. I will certainly stay here next time in Montreal if at all possible.

Stayed 3 nights in their largest room as an upgrade! Thank you! Gift from my loving husband. I cant say enough about the room. Bigger than some condos I know. The bathroom is a dream. Layout amazing. Location amazing. Staff amazing. Breakfast was exceptional. Really enjoyed the heat System not too dry. Kept perfect temp. Now I really want to come back in summer to enjoy that terrace! Recommendation? change the ports at desk to USB or offer more receptacles to charge the toys.

The Hotel Gault was a great choice for my wife and me while on a quick trip to Montreal. The hotel has an eclectic vibe not only coming from its décor but also the fact that the staff is young and energetic while the building is decidedly Vieux-Montreal. The room was large and clean, the staff did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable and there was Calvados at the bar to warm up from the cold. I really couldn't ask for much more. My only nit would be that given the lightning cable was introduced in 2012 iPad docks in the rooms are a little out of date.
