Reviews for Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile Hotel
The bed was so comfortable and I love the bath products in the room. Nice shower and tub. Friendly staff. Great location. My only complaint is the fitness center, which is rather small for a hotel of this size. Both mornings of my stay, I had to wait over 15 minutes for an open treadmill (there were only 2) and all of the fitness equipment is pretty dated. I would have expected the equipment and space to match the quality of the rest of the hotel.

Found the breakfast unnecessarily expensive. All else including dinner food excellent. The room was comfortable with the bathroom well designed. The large screen tv was also appreciated with the swivel.

Sofitel Montreal We had called ahead to confirm late check in as our flight from NYC had been delayed for more than two hours, and arriving to the hotel after midnight couldn’t have been easier. We had amazing service at the front desk. Our check in was efficient and friendly. I asked about room service because we had missed dinner, and the front desk offered to get a room service order in for me immediately. Room service arrived not more than 10 minutes after I arrived to my room, and my salad was fresh, full of vegetables, and was exactly what I wanted. The room service staff were great as well. Overall, the room was comfortable, and was very clean. As perks, it had: - A GREAT full-length mirror in the bathroom, and another smaller one near the entry door - A separate entry area with a small plastic tray for wet boots! Nice touch in a snowy and cold climate! - A short entry counter for keys, etc. - A recycling bin (I love when hotels provide a separate bin for recycling!) - A Nespresso machine with 3 pods and a small selection of Tao teas - A comfortable bed and pillows - No dust! Even the vents were clean and free of any dust - they did a great job of cleaning the room - An electric outlet to one side of the bed above the bedside table to easily charge your phone - Enough space to be comfortable - A desk with a desk chair - A tastefully decorated, marble tiles bathroom with an impeccably clean, marble tiled shower with both a rain head and a separate hand held head - GREAT water and water pressure; the water heated up very quickly so there was very little wasted water while waiting for the shower to get to a good temperature Products provided: evenly scented Lanvin amber/orange products: shampoo, bath gel, conditioner, body lotion, bath soap, hand soap. Other toiletries: Emory board, cotton swabs (3), cotton rounds, shower cap. The room was also equipped with a shoe mitt, a small sewing/mending kit, a hairdryer and a shoe horn. I brought my own products, but tried the products, which were more than satisfactory. The lotion was delightfully thick, and the scent was easy and not overwhelming. Robes and slippers were also provided. Drawbacks: - Bathroom vanity counter was a bit small, and the oversized sink overshadowed most of the tiny sliver of counter (take care to look for any personal items that may roll under it, out of your site line) - Black out curtains didn’t go the entire length of window (the rest of the windows did have sheer curtains that went all the way across); however, this was not a problem for me as we got in after midnight, I was exhausted, and my own apartment is so sunny, that an overcast Montréal winter sky was dim by comparison. We had breakfast at the attached “Renoir” restaurant downstairs and attached the hotel, which came to around CAD $32 each plus a tip. It was decent (significantly better than a diner, but not gourmet -- however, it had great cappuccinos and nice service). There was a gym, but I didn’t have time to visit it. Would I stay again? Absolutely! It’s a good price value, had the most friendly and efficient service, and was SO CLEAN. This is a great option for a stay in Montreal.

This was our second time to stay at Sofitel Golden Mile in Montreal. We were so happy there last time (2014) we decided to stay again last weekend. I had several requests (high floor, adjoining rooms etc.) and every single one was met. The beds are so comfortable and it was completely quiet. I had some great sleeps here and I am a light sleeper. The staff could not have been nicer and when we checked out and the man at the desk (I'm sorry I don't remember his name) heard my daughter express disappointment that the tea in the lobby had been taken away (after 0900), he immediately asked the concierge to get us teas. This was all done in a very professional and caring way. It's those little things that people remember! Thank you to the staff at Sofitel. Also, our room was immaculate and housekeeping is to be commended. Great location and great hotel. I will definitely be back!

We were just in town for one night to look at property to buy. Sofitel was in the perfect location for us. We would have preferred two queen beds but they were not available. The shower was wonderful.
