We spent a week here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. It is one of the four major hotels on Moorea but is definitely the smallest with much more of a boutique feel. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow and enjoyed the magnificent views out to the reef. The hotel knew it was our anniversary and everyday small gifts such as fruit platters and bottles of wine would appear in our room - gestures that were very much appreciated. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from a supermarket and other local shops. Highlights included the jet ski tour out to the sting rays and sharks, the bbq restaurant over the road, and Carameline's in the local shops. The only downside was wifi coverage was patchy and unreliable - but when you are in a place like this who wants to be connected to devices! Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can't wait to come back!

What a beautiful place to holiday. The resort in Papaeete was amazing. The room we had was wonderful. When we went to Moorea the Manava wasn't as good but it was still beautiful. Thank goodness for air-conditioning. My son and I went over to Tahiti for his 18th birthday and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend going on the day trip to swim with the sharks and stingray as well. The barbecue after it was so yummy and the guides were excellent.

This is exactly like the brochures. We purchased a package deal 3 nights at this Resort before moving on. Our package had us staying in a Garden Room, however we upgraded to an over water bungalow for 2 of the 3 nights. Over water Bungalow: It was just like the brochures! A very nicely decorated room which faced the open ocean. There were french doors which led to a nice deck - it even had a smaller lower deck with stairs for easy access into the ocean for snorkeling. this would have been great had we had good weather. Our room had bathtub/shower. I like the tub, but my tall hubby had to kneel in the tub to shower. :) (The drawbacks of being tall.), hairdryer was fine and toiletries they supplied were great. Loved the Monoi oil this resort supplied (it is wonderful!) Shampoo & Conditioner were fine which was good as I packed light for this trip and left mine behind. There is 110V plug for us Canadians so no need to panic and pack any converters. Room had a viewing window into ocean in the floor. Sounds more exciting than it really is. We didn't see much from our in room floor - would rather hang out on the deck and look over. Our 2nd room - Garden bungalow was just as beautiful! This room didn't have any ocean view, but it had a big deck with comfy furniture and a nice lush view of the garden. No downside to this room at all. After all, how much time do you really spend in your room. Bar Fridge in the rooms to put water and other beverages you acquire. Note: food & beverages all over are on the pricey side. Makes sense when you realize that they have to fly everything in. Staff were very friendly. Resort grounds nicely manicured. Pool was nice and clean and a great place to gather. snorkel gear and towels were available from the friendly staff at the pool. Bar - fun place to gather. Service a little slow, but everyone is on Island Time. It makes you relax! Slow down the pace! After all, isn't that why we all go. Restaurant. Nice setup. Not a bad selection for Breakfast buffet. Standard fair. We had a couple of dinners in the restaurant and food was not bad. Spa. Hubby had a massage & I had a facial. Both very nice. Nothing that you wouldn't get at home, only with resort prices. We didn't go into town at all as we had big rains the whole time we were there. Nice touch of the resort was providing umbrellas and/or plastic rain gear in the rooms.

We had a chance to visit some friends, eat, swim and hang out at this "resort". Very nice and if you have a bungalow over the sea you can "see" but this place built the bungalows across the entire ocean front of the property so that everyone else cant even see the ocean much less the island of Tahiti. Well kept. Nice staff but unless you are at the top of the food chain you will see nothing but bungalows.

Perfect. Boutique. Amazing. Fantastic. We so loved our week at Manava in Moorea. Easy checkin. Easy everything. The staff are amazing. We loved them all especially Tieva and Ralph at the pool. Those two were particularly helpful to all guests. Front desk great too. Garden duplex excellent and great value. Easy for family of four. Nearby local restaurants of style were Moorea Beach Cafe (wow), Rudy's and Le Mahogoney. Supermarket nearby, as is an excellent and inexpensive laundry. Money machines too. Taxi to and from ferry XPF2,500
