About the Hotel

Maeva! The exceptionally beautiful Tahitian islands extend a warm welcome in the native Polynesian tongue, and invite you to discover new levels of luxury, indulgence, and rejuvenation. Just ten miles in length, the heart-shaped island of Moorea is home to aromatic hibiscus, sparkling sapphire waters, and Manava Beach Resort and Spa Moorea. Lavish accommodations of this eye-catching resort abutting the Pacific include spacious single and family guestrooms, as well as garden and beach bungalows. The most striking features of the resort, however, are the overwater bungalows: 28 luxurious thatched roof dwellings that look as if poised on the calm, shallow water. Glass bottom spaces in each bungalow offer breathtaking views of the ecologically friendly underwater landscape below. Water at your feet, beach along the horizon, and endless possibilities make Moorea Pearl Resort & Spa the only destination for your next vacation.

Reviews for Manava Beach Resort and Spa Moorea

A little drop of paradise !!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We stayed at the Manava Beach Resort, in September last year. What a great little hotel. We initially stayed in a duplex apartment at the rear of the complex which was great with balcony and garden views, as at the time of booking it was the only place available. But a beach villa became available so we moved to that for the last section of our stay there. A very chilled out vibe here, great food in the restaurant, nice bar area, the pools and ocean view are amazing. Nice bit of kayaking in the sea as well. Book it !! Great massage experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I visited the Manea Spa at Manava Beach Resort and Spa this week for an acupressure massage. My massage therapist was Beline, who was a lovely person and knew her trade very well. This is a European style massage so Americans need to leave their modesty at the door! While face down you will be fully exposed over the course of the massage. 50 minutes later I felt refreshed and a bit wrung out, in a good way. This was a wonderful, relaxing experience that left me feeling looser and better in mind and body. I highly recommend the spa and Beline!

Wonderful Hotel! Meh Beds.

We loved our stay at the Manava Resort! We stayed 5 nights in the private pool bungalow and could not have been happier with our choice of rooms. The pool bungalows are quiet and tucked away on the property which was great for us and our young daughter. We visited several other hotels during our time on Moorea and we were so grateful that we chose a hotel that offered an authentic Polynesian atmosphere. My only critique is that the beds and pillows were too firm and not comfortable.

You had me at "overwater bungalow"

Staying in an overwater bungalow was a dream for us. We upgraded to one facing the ocean and it was worth every penny. We snorkeled right off our deck. The staff was great. There was plenty of extras provided -- beach towels, snorkeling gear, kayaks, etc. Breakfast was more than satisfactory -- the omelets and fruit were delicious. And the spa was spectacular! Hitia and Bella gave us the best massages -- not too hard, not too soft. Kind and compassionate. From the minute we walked in to the tea served on a private patio after our massages. Just what we needed. The only thing keeping us from giving 5 stars is the restaurant. We ate 2 lunches and 1 dinner -- and none of the meals were very good. It's a bummer, because we love everything else about Manava Resort. And we will be back!

Beautiful resort with excellent facilities and service

We stayed at Manava for a week in a premium overwater bungalow. The bungalow was amazing. Spacious, clean, comfortable. Excellent snorkeling right off the deck and up and down the reef and drop off. Saw turtles, sharks, a moray, tons of fish. Even saw an octopus swimming under the glass coffee table! Comfortable bed and nice bathroom and shower. Plenty of storage with bureau and closet. There is an espresso machine and kettle for tea. You get one large water when you check in. The mini fridge is not super cold but will keep drinks chilled and they have ice machines on the dock. They give you 4 espresso pods when you check in and you can buy more at front desk OR just bring “ESE pods,” they sell them on Amazon. The deck has two comfortable loungers and there is a shower on deck to rinse off people and snorkel gear. The tv is mostly French channels but there were two English language news channels and we also had a few Hollywood movies in English on the French channels. The Wi-Fi was excellent. We even had a long (2 hour) Zoom class one afternoon that went fine. The hotel amenities were very good. We used the pool every day, never felt packed. Breakfast came with our package and plenty of options. Omelette station, coffee machines, pastries, fresh fruits and juices, bacon/sausage, potatoes, etc. We only ate diner once for the Polynesian Show that was very good. The dinner was seafood based with lots of sashimi and sushi and plenty of veggies, salad and chicken and beef options. The Wednesday show has a BBQ dinner theme The resort was very clean (zero bugs in OWB) and service was friendly and helpful. As others mentioned there are restaurants within east walk. We used the shower facility the day we left after check out which was very nice to have. We used snorkel gear all week and worked out great and didn’t have to pack it all. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a daily activities guide posted in lobby. We didn’t know when the flower/leaf hat making activity was and missed it when we were told a wrong day. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and would r recommend to travelers looking for a more local feel than the Hilton or Sofitel. The nearby restaurants and stores are also an advantage.

We purchased a 5-night package in the overwater bungalow at Moorea Pearl Resort and it was absolutely FABULOUS, even better than advertised! I loved every second. It was a long-held dream come true for me to stay in one of those wonderful bungalows. It was off-season, but with great good luck the weather was perfect every day. And of course it was a fantastic value - we never could have done it otherwise! Luxury Link makes it possible for ordinary people to do some extraordinary things, and I'm very grateful for that.
