In order to know true peace, you must find the perfect balance of mind, body and spirit. There's no better place to begin this journey of discovery than Misión del Sol Resort & Spa. Located in Cuernavaca, a place of great architectural and natural beauty south of Mexico City, this adults-only retreat boasts a collection of two-bedroom adobe-style villas made of all natural elements. Each is artfully designed according to Feng Shui principles, with magnet systems to encourage energy flow and an individual meditation area for reflective moments.

Well before Covid Mission del Sol used to have the greatest buffet Sunday brunches . The restaurant would be full on a Sunday . It was great as every time we would go there would be new and interesting options . Unfortunately with COVID the Sunday buffets are no longer . We went with a couple of friends the other day during the week to just have breakfast a la carte and it was not good at all ! The flavors of the dishes was completely insipid and bland . The bread very plain . The waiters hardly paid any attention to us , never asked if we would like more coffee . There were only three tables with guests eating so there was no excuse as to why we were not treated better . We will not be coming here to eat again until the buffets start up again …. The gardens are as beautifully kept up as ever . Just forget eating there for a while !

Mision del Sol near cuernavaca in Morelos mexican state, is a fine place to rest, meditate and heal. Yoga, spa, temazcal, oval very clean pool and public jacuzzi area, gym and tennis. All rooms are adobe material, fresh and energy balanced, no tv, no phone line, shut your cellphone off and you'll discover your inner peace and find your energy. Food is good, weekend buffet has many options, vegan dishes and local mexican food is well represented.

What a bad experience. Even though it's a nice place, the staff treated us like strangers. Our room was the ugliest available (no air conditioning) even when our reservation was done a week before. Don't think around bringing your kids, they won't have access to the nice part of the Hotel... so sad.

The Resort is located in the outskirts of Cuernavaca, approx 25 minutes from the City center. The place is well looked after, Spa and swimming pools are very good, rooms are a bit too minimalist, a small refrigerator would have been perfect. Not many options on the Restaurant menu, however Brunch is good. Overall all service can be improved.

Quite honestly don’t know why most of the rates from this hotel are high. Room (village), wasn’t as clean as should be (even a drop of blood was marked on one of the bathrooms floor - pic enclosed on this review), as also general conditions in village were for sure not in good shape (AC power plugs, room ceiling, resting chairs etc). I mean, the only phone in room wasn’t even working! In my opinion this is a hotel on which you can enjoy with the exterior (facilities, gardens and maybe even the pool), but if you want or are used to enjoy of a full good or great experience by complementing that with a great room atmosphere, clean, modern and functional gadgets, well ..... This wouldn’t be my choice. Now that I’ve been there, I can fairly state it.
