Big, boring and unfriendly city. Avoid! If you must travel to Russia, go to St. Petersburg instead. I suggest you skip Russia altogether and go to Kiev and Odessa. Much more fun and much better value for your bucks

Was delighted with my room at the Ritz carlton and view of the Kremlin .. the spa and beauty services were excellent, surprisingly.. food was good,, Cafe Russe at dinner was delightful due to charming Bognan who greeted us.

It is a lovely hotel but there were many glitches in the service area.We only had turndown service once out of four nights. They forgot to clean our room and we had to go downstairs and remind them. They made reservations at a very nice restaurant and they forgot to tell us they only take cash. Nothing horrible ,just annoying. They were very apologetic . The front desk told me that they were full and they didn't get to us. Oh,well.

A friend and I stayed in a twin club room for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The beds were probably the most comfortable in any hotel I have visited... ever. The staff were all lovely and eager to help, though their level of English was a bit disappointing, in all honesty, considering the calibre of the hotel. The spa was divine, and the treatments blissful (with the exception of the Moscow Honey Ritual, absolute torture!). It's a real shame the swimming pool is lined with black tiles, which makes it really uninviting, despite the lovely size and setting. I can only guess it was designed by someone who thought only of the visual impact (amazing) and not at all of how it may be used, and by whom. The room service menu was excellent. We loved it. WATCHOUT: although there is free WiFi, we got hit by a massive WiFi bill because we had, apparently, selected faster WiFi when logging in. Absolutely outrageous, considering that noone had mentioned that up front (only free WiFi was mentioned at check-in), and we connected to the WiFi via mobile phones, where it's impossible to see the small print. Not at all happy about that, and have never experienced this in any other hotel.

The Menu offers a variety of russian and international alternatives, with some excellant french style cuisine. The restaurant is spacious, music is not too load and staff is very well trained and attentive. Our waiter, Mr. Rusif was simply perfect, giving the best image of a restaurant of this reputation. Thanks to all, it was great spending some times in your Restaurant. No doubt that if we come back to Moscow, we'll meet again.
