This hotel is within 50m of the ski lifts & right on main road into town so an excellent location to find & for skiing. Large comfortable rooms with comfy beds & nice bathroom with toiletries & plenty of towels. Our room also had a kitchenette & we made our own breakfasts. Plenty of restaurants & bars close by so we used those instead of the hotel ones. It also had a spa/ hot tub ( both indoor & outdoor) & a massage centre which was handy for apres skiing. The ski valet service was great for taking our skis/boots (heated boot room), they also had competitive ski hire & were very helpful with advice about anything. We saw none of the problems of other reviews so have to give it a 5 star as we also got a great price on the hotel room. Highly recommended if you plan to ski at Crested Butte

Our room was nice and comfortable. We especially appreciated the pet friendly attitude. Pets were welcomed not just tolerated. Ski in ski out is real and there is a convenient ski valet. We would have appreciated a decent restaurant and bar within the hotel. The 9380 Prime is disgusting. I would rate the Spa as average to good. Hotel service is not better than average. There was some question as to whether our bedding was clean and friends across the hall had the same experience. If you don't need a bellman, room service, helpful front desk staff or a concierge, you'll be right at home. Unless you get a "deal" like we did the cost is a bit high for the value. I would not pay regular rates to stay here. Honestly this could be a great hotel at a nice location with a little better management and/or ownership. In my opinion the whole base area needs to mature to be a real destination resort contender but the ski area itself is great.

Location, location, location. You can not ask for a more convenient and laid back ski vacation. Elevation was great! The location is so convenient, the ski valet was easy and simple, service was always helpful and friendly. It’s completely laid back yet still very upscale and service oriented. The rooms were a nice size and the kitchenette was convenient. Anytime we contacted front desk for anything, they responded in less than 15 minutes. The outdoor bar had a nice beer selection and lots of seating. I absolutely enjoyed our stay with family and friends at Elevation and plan to come back!

We used to always stay at The Elevation because of the proximity to the slopes and the true ski in/ski out benefit. The last time we were here was two years ago. Since that time it has sadly gone downhill. The room was dirty when we first arrived. The pullout couch had hair and a used hairband in the sheets so I don’t think those had been changed. The fan was noisy and made a loud scraping sound so we didn’t use it. The outside balcony was badly peeling and the weather stripping was all pulled from the balcony door and hanging off. And the food was horrible. You have to order room service online and it was delivered in a plastic bag in styrofoam containers. The food arrived cold and they forgot our drinks and utensils. Terrible! Will not stay here again.

We decided to give Elevation another try after a less than stellar trip here last year mainly due to the convenience to the slopes, ski valet and nicely sized suites that can accommodate my family. Unfortunately as they say fool me once ...! Much to my surprise I was charged the full price of my stay well over a week before check-in, we travel extensively and have NEVER had this happen no matter what the cancellation policy is - I did not book pre pay rate. Upon check in I was asked if I was traveling with a pet which I was not so it totally surprised me that I was given a room on the Pet floor in a pet friendly room. I try to avoid staying in a pet friendly accommodations for various reasons. Of course when I asked if there was an alternative I was told that the hotel was “fully committed” which I heard often on this visit. I am an IPrefer member and part of the membership should come with a preferred room If not and upgrade. Also due to the hotel being “fully committed” housekeeping tried their best but In a hotel charging premium rates they should be prepared for a busy holiday week and you should not have to ask for housekeeping to clean your room repeatedly nor be forced to borrow toilet paper from another guest because they were out due to be “fully committed” I can only hope that this hotel can get their act together and make some Much needed renovations and improvements to their facilities, policies and self service restaurant which again is in a beautiful location and could have much more to offer. I honestly feel sorry for the front desk staff who were all very friendly and have to deal with so many complaints. This hotel has so much potential but at this point they are just taking advantage of their guest.
