Dusit Thani Maldives

First trip to Maldives and so glad we chose Dusit Thani. From the first interaction at the international airport all the way throughout the entire trip, we felt very well taken care of by the staff. We stayed in an Overwater Pool Villa and could see lots of fishes right below our deck. The room was spacious, cozy and nicely decorated. On our first morning, we spotted dolphins swimming past and got so excited. We kept looking out for them the next few days at around the same time at 7am but didn’t see them again LOL. We saw a good number of marine life – reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, clown fish, triggerfish and many other reef fishes. The house reef (in particular from Dive Centre to Benjarong) is decent and snorkelling was good. During our trip, we were regretfully not able to experience any of the activities by the Dive Centre due to bad weather (dolphin cruise, nurse shark snorkelling, manta on call were all cancelled) but we were kept busy with the activities on the island itself. Would recommend guests checking out the Back of House Tour and Nature Walk by the Activity Centre. We were surprised that we are the only ones who have signed up for these and honestly, we learnt so much and had so many of our questions answered! We also joined the Thai Massage Lesson at the Spa and that was a fun couple activity. Had a Thai Massage session and my hubby said that it is probably the best he has ever experienced! Food was good at all restaurants as attested by so many other reviewers but for us, Sea Grill was our go-to – perfect for a late afternoon snack (on most days when we didn’t have proper lunch) and lovely dinners with our feet in the sand.. honestly we enjoyed everything we ate there! I also had the fortune (or misfortune?!) of visiting the doctor on the island and would like to thank the doc and nurse for their care. Special thanks to our butler Muhey, Laura from CSR, Rabreeu from Sea Grill, Dhuang from Spa and all the other staff who were so very kind to us. We look forward to coming back for a longer stay next time.

The service of the butler Ajaa was excellent. All the rooms were upgraded. The water villa pick-up and drop-off were very punctual. The breakfast at the market and the Thai restaurant were very to Chinese taste. There were a lot of marine creatures under the water bungalows. The turtles and corals were well protected. I will definitely come again if I have the chance!

We come here for honeymoon. Hotel send us lots of honeymoon gifts. The baterler ajaa is professional. Looking forwards to come back again.

The island has beautiful vegetation wirh a lot of trees and nice housereef for snorkeling, where you can see turtles, reefsharks and eaglerays. The restaurant’s are all very good- rhere are four in total and all the staff is amazing- professional and very friendly. There is a weekly schedule with yoga, meditation and workouts. And they offer a lot of activities in the dive center as well. The manta on call was amazing. The beach only large on the west side and in low tide. The rooms by the way ( we stayed) in an open water pool villa need a little make over and modernisation. Since the resort is in charge for your transfer to the international airport., i have to say it was a little bit tight. We just arrived before the check in closed, so there should be improvement for smoothee timing. Special thanks to our butler Jalaal, waiter Majid in the market restaurant and the yogateacher - i think here name was Jen. All in all we had a beautiful stay.

This is the first time our family has visited the Maldives. For this family trip, I chose Dusit Thani Maldives after thorough research in advance. And it turned out to be absolutely wonderful—whether it’s the service, meals, scenery or activities, everything has brought us an incredibly great experience. The resort staff, knowing that I traveled with my grandma and grandpa, even specially upgraded our accommodation to a two-bedroom overwater villa. Their thoughtfulness really warmed our hearts. When I was a kid, my family often took me to the beach. Back then, I told them, “When I grow up and earn money, I’ll take you to the Maldives to see the most beautiful sea in the world.” Now, I’ve kept my promise. For me, I might visit the Maldives many more times in the future. But for my grandma and grandpa, who are already 80 years old, this trip is probably their first and last visit to the Maldives—long-distance flights are no longer feasible for them. This trip has left beautiful memories for every member of my family. Perhaps the true meaning of travel is to help us deeply understand the value of love and life. Finally, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our butler Muhey and all the staff on the resort. Thank you for all your help, enthusiasm and kindness.
