Dusit Thani Maldives

We had an amazing time here for our family holiday. All the staff were so welcoming from the moment we arrived til the moment we left. We stayed in a beach room villa, which was by far one of the largest we have stayed in and very spacious (it was our 3rd trip to the Maldives). Our butler, April, was amazing and was always easily contactable by WhatsApp. Many thanks April as you were absolutely great!! She would come and find us at breakfast or by the pool to make sure we were ok and her daily updates with the resort activities was great. She always treated my 6 year old daughter with such warmth and kindness. Any requests for any room amenities to be updated were quickly dealt with and having this butler service was fantastic as unlike any other resorts (where you have to call up or contact reception) we never had to wait for things to happen. The infinity swimming pool was amazing, never busy and the staff at the Sand Bar would regularly ensure we were ok for drinks. I would also like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Sand Bar and Sea Grill, as we spent a lot of time there during the day, for the fantastic, friendly service (apologies of not naming all the staff there personally but they were all brilliant!). Food here was excellent and being vegetarian I found there to a great choice at all the restaurants. Having a specialist vegetarian/vegan restaurant (Sala) was an absolute bonus as the food here was amazing and the views even better (even my husband who is not vegetarian was impressed!) and the dishes were served up like a fine dining place that wouldn’t seem amiss amongst some of the top cities around the world. The other restaurants (Benjarong, Sea Grill and the Market) all served a great selection of food. The drinks were all premium and there was never a long wait for anything. The house reef and snorkelling was one of the best we have experienced. You literally can snorkel off your villa or any part of the island and see an abundance of marine life. We were lucky enough to swim with a dolphin, reef shark and many turtles on the house reef. We didn’t do any excursions but speaking to other guests they all enjoyed the various trips available at the dive centre. My daughter really enjoyed all the kids club activities. If you are looking for a resort with an amazing house reef, small but with an authentic Maldivian feel (not a big chain resort) and fantastic service from your own butler to all the staff, then I would highly recommend this resort! We are already trying to figure out when we can come back!

All the services were good. Our Butler Ajaa responded to any requests very quickly. The restaurant staff was friendly as well. The food at the Ben Jarong restaurant was delicious and served very quickly. The beef and lamb at the Seagrill restaurant were absolutely delicious. Everything was perfect at Dusit Thani Maldives, from the moment we were picked up until the end of our stay. ​Our butler, April, was the best we have ever had. She was incredibly kind and friendly, always answering our questions within minutes. She organized our dinners and managed everything before we even had to ask; she truly does her job perfectly. ​The food was amazing everywhere. The Thai restaurant was our favorite—the food was so authentic it felt as if we had flown to Thailand. All the staff members across the whole island were kind and efficient. The menus in all the restaurants were so carefully prepared that you’ll want to try every dish, just as you would in a top-tier 5-star restaurant. ​ The reef was also excellent; we saw plenty of fish, turtles, and sharks. Having bicycles helped us get around the island easily. They were equipped with child seats, and there were also bikes available for the older kids. The island is lush, green, and beautiful. We highly recommend a visit! ​What we didn't like: The kids' club has some paid activities throughout the day. If you don't want to participate, you have to pick up your child because they cannot split the groups. This was a bit inconvenient, as we had to interrupt our children's playtime and constantly check the clock to make sure we didn't miss the pickup slot. We only used the kids' club once because every other time they wanted to go, there was a paid activity scheduled. It wasn't a major issue for our stay, though, as the kids were perfectly happy on the beach, snorkeling and playing in the sand.

We had the best time at Dusit Thani Maldives. The snorkelling, activities, food options and level of service were all amazing. Every member of staff pays attention to detail and truly care about making this an unforgettable experience. April was the best butler we could have asked for and was so accommodating to organise events during our trip, she really is the best!

Me and my daughter spend an unbelievable breathtaking week! We had a overwater pool villa and the room was overwhelming! Everything was more than perfect! … we did some great activities, snorkeling with the turtles and mantas, coconut oil experience. All the restaurants were great, the staff and service (I don’t remember all the names…I can only mention Sarath and Prabath), everybody was so nice and friendly! Very special thanks to our butler Muhey, he made our vacation unforgettable!!! We’ll come back for sure!!!
