Smiling, experiencing, flying high, feeling like mantas in a cocoon. Should be back there as we have even been awarding some sparkling members of this great warm and welcoming staff with some official olympic awards and things...And even able to award the Coubertin official medal under water in one of the most emblematic spots in Baa...Biomarine Reserve rocks !

Very grateful for an enchanting vacation at the Dusit Thani Maldives! Cheers to each and everyone of the exceptional staff and management team-members for going above and beyond to make every moment of my stay a bliss! Particular thanks to my personal butler, Levi, who was outstanding. And, of course, the resort is Paradise-like, my over-water pool villa was a beautiful cocoon of peace and comfort, and each meal was delicious!

We had an absolutely wonderful family holiday at Dusit Thani. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we met was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive – you truly feel taken care of in every way. Nature & Marine Life: The underwater world around the island is magical and easily accessible even with just a snorkel mask. We saw countless colorful fish, turtles, and small, harmless reef sharks. Still, I highly recommend trying scuba diving if you can – the reef is even more alive and vibrant below the surface than you can imagine from snorkeling. Dining & Drinks: The food at all three à la carte restaurants and the buffet restaurant was excellent and varied, with a clear focus on seafood and a lovely touch of Asian cuisine throughout. Fans of European meat dishes like steak or lamb will also be satisfied, though the quality of the meat was a little inconsistent at times. The all-inclusive drinks selection is truly outstanding – a great range of cocktails and an impressive international wine list. At the moment, there are even three different champagnes included in the all-inclusive plan. Given the tropical heat and humidity, it’s wise to pace yourself – it’s easy to overindulge and end up testing your limits in the sun! A special thank-you to Gabey, who looked after us so kindly at The Market restaurant – always with a smile and a genuine sense of hospitality. Small downsides: A few things felt a bit unnecessary: despite our all-inclusive meal plan, activities like cookie decorating and pizza making for the kids cost an extra €5 each. Also, the plush manta rays placed in the villa looked like complimentary gifts for children, but at checkout we were asked if we wanted to buy them for $40 each. It would help if that were explained more clearly in advance. Of course we took the mantas home for our boys. Activities & Experiences: We booked a couple’s massage, a discovery scuba diving session, and a floating breakfast – all three were fantastic and well worth it. Our kids didn’t really take to the Kids Club, but that’s just personal preference. Community & Culture: One of the most special moments was experiencing Children’s Day. As part of this celebration, local schoolchildren from nearby islands were invited to the resort to learn about the hospitality industry and how resorts support the local economy. The children were greeted with music at the Kids Club, enjoyed lunch at The Market, and had ice cream at the bar. Our kids immediately connected with them and would probably have loved it if Children’s Day had lasted all week! Resort & Facilities: The island and all its facilities are in excellent condition and very well maintained. All restaurants and the bar have wooden or sandy floors – we spent ten days walking barefoot everywhere, and it was wonderful! There’s even an 800-meter jungle fitness trail right through the island’s interior, which we really enjoyed. Service & Medical Care: Our butler Muhey was outstanding – always friendly, proactive, and quick to assist with any request. It’s also reassuring that the island has a resident doctor available at all times, including medication support in case of emergencies. Overall, Dusit Thani exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a perfect place for families who want to relax, explore, and experience the beauty of the Maldives in a warm, natural, and genuinely caring environment.

Dusit Thani was the 9th resort we have visited in the Maldives. We loved the hospitality and friendliness of all employees. Room: we stayed AI in an overwater villa with pool, number 202 on the jetty with wonderful sunset view. The villa is large, nice appointed, clean with a large bathroom and an even larger deck with plunge pool. Total space including deck 185m2. A lot of privacy and great views to the ocean with no other buildings in front of us. Food: Three restaurants, the Market buffet restaurant surprised us. Different themes every day and the more often we came the more we liked it. Three times per week fresh Sashimi, and minute beefsteaks were my favorites. Benjarong is a fine dining Thai restaurant with Thai dishes, not very hot as long as not asked for, but on request in pure hot Thai style: I tried and liked it. The Sea grill is the second a l carte restaurant on the island with steak and fish dishes. A wide selection of delicious desserts and ice cream to finish lunch or dinner are available at all three restaurants Beverages: the AI plan includes a limited selection of red, white and rose wines by glass in addition to different sparkling wines and champagne per glass. They offered three different type of champagnes by glass, Gosset extra brut was my personal favorite in comparison to Victoire Prestige Brut and Louis Dumont Brut. ( I love champagne in the Maldives). Minibar is included in AI but limited to soft drinks only. Bar: my favorite bar is the Sandbar which I was visiting about every day after diving to enjoy some glasses of Gosset with a nuts selection. Attentive staff with excellent service. Everything was well organized and well maintained. The French Area manager Jean-Louis was very visible and present together with his entire team ensuring a relaxing luxurious experience to all its guests. With exception to Lobster and seafood day it never felt busy or crowded, only when Lobster bytes were served in the buffet restaurant the a la carte restaurants were about empty and everyone wanted to enjoy the lovely seafood. Butler service: one of the best in our limited Maldives experience. Our butler Naan really took care of us. not only for restaurant reservation but for everything. Different to other resorts the butler also is the one who has to arrange buggy service when required or asked for: either by himself or arranging replacement. It worked very well. Snorkeling: A decent house reef in particular from Bejarong restaurant towards dive center. I saw turtles every time when snorkeling and often black tip reef sharks, nurse sharks, clown fish, lion fish, giant trigger fish and the usual other reef fish. Dive center: My personal highlight with 28 dives together with Rafhaan and other guests. 4 times kind of private tour ( no other guests) one time diving together with Jean-Louis. Dusit has as advantage that they are perfectly located to the three closest cleaning stations in the direction neighborhood where diving is not allowed. We saw Mantas nearly every day when diving, three times we were diving with whale sharks and one time with Dolphins an unforgettable, exceptional experience. A 10/10 in terms of desire to return not the least because of the exceptional diving, the great hospitality and friendliness of staff, exceptional champagne service good dining and one of the best overwater villas we have stayed in ( comparing to Maafushivaru. Amilla, Radisson, Constance Halaveli, Hideaway and Adaraan Prestige Vadoo ).
