Dusit Thani Maldives

We had been talking about a Maldives trip for a couple of years now and after initially having a few places in mind settled on 5 nights at Dusit Thani Maldives. We knew the Maldives would be amazing but didn’t really know what to expect. From the greeting at the Male airport, our arrival at the resort and the duration of our stay, Dusit Thani Maldives exceeded all our expectations. Our butler Danil, besides giving us a tour of the island and taking us to our villa, was amazing in making sure we had everything we needed and kept us upto date on daily activities, dining options and whale shark and manta ray sightings. He was extremely friendly and made our stay as stress free as it could be, so thankyou Danil. Our Overwater Villa was beautiful and the access to their spectacular house reef from our back doorstep was amazing. So much marine life within metres you could snorkel for days and not see it all. We also got to swim with both Mantas and Whale Sharks which were both bucket list items and the most amazing experiences. Lastly, and we feel bad for not remembering all their names but all the staff at the Market every breakfast, and Benjarong and the Sea Grill for lunch and dinners. The food was amazing and everyone was so friendly and welcoming every time we saw them. Overall a must visit destination we would recommend to anyone and would love to return to someday. We had a wonderful stay at Dusit Thani Maldives, and the island was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed staying in both an overwater villa and a beach villa — from floating breakfast, beautiful sunsets and stunning lagoon views, to the incredible snorkeling just a short swim from our villa. The drop-off was especially beautiful, and we also loved snorkeling around the house reef and relaxing on the white-sand beach. It was the perfect combination of ocean, reef and beach for our anniversary trip. A special thank you to our butler, Danil, who made our stay truly memorable. He was always warm, friendly and punctual, and was incredibly attentive to all the little details. When we felt that our first room was not private enough due to its proximity to the jetty, he immediately helped us find a better room. He also kept an eye out for the Manta on Call experience we had been hoping for and helped us finally get to see the manta rays! Later, when I mentioned that the bicycle at our beach villa was a little too big for me, he quickly arranged a smaller one. On our last day, he also did his best to arrange the latest possible seaplane transfer, allowing us to enjoy more time on the island. Seeing his friendly smile every day really made us feel at home. Thank you, Danil, for making our anniversary trip even more special! The food and service throughout the island were also excellent. The team at The Market and Reception were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the team at Benjarong were wonderful as well — both the food and service were excellent. We also loved the romantic atmosphere at Sea Grill. What impressed us most was how genuinely friendly everyone was, including the housekeeping team who looked after our room every day. Thank you to everyone at Dusit Thani for making us feel so welcome and for adding so many wonderful memories to our wedding anniversary trip. It was truly a beautiful and unforgettable stay, and we would love to come back again. ❤️

An amazing experience! Thank you Dusit Thani Maldives. From the very first interaction to the last, they treated us like royalty! Transfers to and from the island were seamless and well timed. Arriving at the island we were welcomed by the island Management team and our Butler (Danil), who made us feel at home from the minute we stepped onto the arrival jetty. Nothing was too much trouble for him, coordinating our on-shore and offshore experiences with booking timeslots and sending reminders (very handy when you lose track of days and times on the island). The buffet breakfast is THE best we have ever enjoyed, the selection of food is world class and the quality was impeccable. The staff remember you and welcome you warmly, even the gardening staff, who would see us riding laps of the island after breakfast to burn off the (all too many) pastries! The restaurant options were perfect, the gym was just right, the pool is very cool, the Wellness centre was great and the snorkeling from our over-water villa was a highlight! Highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a great experience! (PS. We booked 5 nights after completing a European road trip for 2 weeks and 1 week on a liveaboard dive boat… it was the absolute best way to relax at the end of our holiday).

We loved everything about Dusit Thani. From the very beginning when we were picked up and taken care of at the airport until the very last day and our departure when our awesome butler April even packed a breakfast for us as we were leaving early morning. The service of all the staff members were absolutely fantastic and on point. Everyone was paying so much attention to us, especially to our son, who turned 1 year on our last day and had a special breakfast and dinner that day ❤️ Special thanks to Raveesha and the hostess at Market which name I just can’t remember now. But they both were so attentive and became our son’s favorite. ☺️ As well as our waiter (Liverpool fan :) ) at Sea grill. Our butler April was always on call and she made sure we had everything we asked for right away. I don’t have to mention that the island is so beautiful and you just feel like you’re in a paradise. It was the most beautiful first family holiday we could’ve had. We will be recommending Dusit Thani to all of our friends and family.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at the wonderful Dusit Thani. We stayed in an over water villa (202) which is an excellent location for sunset. Thank you to the management for facilitating our move after 2 days to our requested villa, we very much appreciated it. We feel very fortunate that we had Saeed as our butler. He couldn't do enough for us, whenever we required his services he was there promptly. We realise that we weren't his only clients but felt like we were due to his excellent service. He really is the nicest man and a credit to the resort. Would also like to mention Rima in the Market, again lovely lady who always looked after us well. 'Lost' as we know him, also a lovely man who always managed to find us! The dive centre were superb and helped when I was hesitant about jumping off the boat and looked after me. Manta ray experience was out of this world and the house reef is a sea of fish. We saw sharks turtles, octopus and never tired of snorkelling. Every single member of staff are welcoming and polite. Ensure you go to the Sand Bar and watch the bats before sunset but they can also be seen there is the day. The food was excellent in all restaurants and the spa was lovely too; we both had superb massages. The island is immaculately kept by a team of hardworking gardeners. Our travel agents Angelfish Travel were a wealth of experience in helping to book this amazing holiday and we would highly recommend them. We hope one day to be able to come back to Dusit Thani and thank each and every member of staff there who made our holiday so memorable.
