Dusit Thani Maldives

A great hotel can make or break a Maldives holiday, and unfortunately this one fell short. It’s very close to the city, with views of the city or cargo ships from most areas. So no endless blue waters. The food quality and variety were disappointing, with only a 1-2 good dishes at each restaurant. Service also lacked the personalized touch you expect in the Maldives, I had to repeatedly follow up for everything, including my daughter’s first birthday cake, a paid photoshoot, and a paid boat cruise. I’ve had far better Maldives experiences at lower price points.

We would like to give our highest compliment to our butler April. She is extremely warm, thoughtful and professional. All our requests were handled quickly and patiently. Her attentive service made our honeymoon trip in Maldives absolutely unforgettable. We really appreciate everything she did for us.

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. Our butler, Saeed, took care of everything and made our stay incredibly smooth and comfortable. We were traveling with our baby, and the babysitters at the Kids’ Club were all so kind and caring. Our daughter had such a wonderful time with them. Thank you so much for making our stay so special and memorable. If we ever have the opportunity to return, we will definitely stay at this resort again!

Everything about the holiday was amazing! The location looks like a screen saver and doesn’t feel real, absolutely stunning island. There is a plethora of activities that are offered which are great if you want to do something other than relaxing by the amazing pool. I personally would recommend all of the sea life activities as seeing the mantas and nurse sharks was truly magical. As well as this the staff are brilliant, all so polite and friendly! Saeed, in particular, is truly perfect at his job! Couldn’t have asked for a better personal host for the holiday, he deserves a raise! I couldn’t recommend going here more.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Dusit Thani Maldives. The island is beautiful, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the entire team made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. A special mention goes to our butler, Saeed, who is exceptional. He was always available whenever we needed anything, incredibly attentive to every request, and made our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The Baa Atoll is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful areas of the Maldives that we have experienced so far. We love discovering different resorts in the Maldives, and the marine life around Dusit Thani is truly spectacular. During our stay, we were lucky enough to see turtles, sharks, rays, an incredible variety of fishes, and even dolphins during our sunset cruise. These moments made our experience particularly memorable. The entire Dusit Thani team deserves recognition as well. Everyone we met was kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which created a lovely atmosphere throughout the resort. There are just two points where we feel there could be some improvement. First, we would appreciate more transparency regarding the spa services. We had a package offering a 15% discount on spa treatments, but at checkout we were informed that the treatments we had chosen including a Couples massage and a Therapeutic massage were not eligible for the discount. It would be very helpful if the spa menu clearly indicated which treatments are included or excluded, so guests can make their choices with full information beforehand. Secondly, we both love fresh coconut water and were a little surprised that it was not readily available during our stay. In other Maldivian 5* resorts we have visited, coconut water was commonly offered at breakfast and on the beverage menus. Having it available would be a lovely addition, especially in such a beautiful tropical paradise. Overall, these are only small points compared with how much we enjoyed our stay. We left Dusit Thani with wonderful memories, especially of the beautiful marine life, the incredible surroundings, and the warm hospitality of the team.
