Dusit Thani Maldives

I took my mum on her birthday, and it was a perfect trip. We chose the half-board plan and found that we were never hungry. The restaurants are all perfect. Breakfast is a buffet, and there are multiple choices for dinner, especially the Thai restaurant, which serves à la carte with very local food. The snorkeling area is large; I saw turtles and sharks every day. Join the night snorkeling too; octopus and sharks were easy to find. The room is big. I suggest staying over the water if your budget permits. Beach villas had lizards and yelling at night. Our butler, Danil, was very helpful, arranging spa treatments and activities for us. He always arrived on time and was kind. The Wi-Fi covers the entire island, and even some parts of the sea, which I didn't expect. You can try the "back of the house" tour and find out interesting things about how the hotel runs. The only problem is that the booking system and staff are quite hard to communicate with. I kept writing things repeatedly and ended up making a phone call to get everything done, but after that, everything was perfect. I would definitely choose to come here for my next trip, just come without worrying about anything.

I had the best experience at dusit thani. The island is soo pretty. Too many options of water activities and the reef is best in Maldives. Food was amazing with too many vegetarian options. Above all I had the best experience with Danil. He was very caring and made our trip most memorable. Thank you so much Danil.

Special shout-outs go to: ​Ravisha, Supun & Prabath – you guys were absolutely amazing! ​Haniif – it was so incredibly sweet how he took care of us; he truly went above and beyond! ​Naan and the entire crew at the Grill, Sala, and the Sandbar. ​The service wasn't just professional; it felt heartfelt and sincere. It’s been such an emotional and beautiful experience. ​Authentic Vibes & Dining The food was a highlight, especially the authentic Sri Lankan style meals. It truly is an "all-round carefree package" where you can fully unwind. One thing we truly appreciated: you never feel pressured or forced to tip constantly—the hospitality feels genuine and not transactional. ​Entertainment The atmosphere was great, and the DJ did a fantastic job (unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the violinist as much, but the DJ definitely made up for it!). ​Summary We can’t say much about the other areas simply because we were so happy where we were!
