This is one of the most memorable holidays of my life, from the time that we reached there by seaplane to the time we left, there was one element that permeated our entire stay- PERSONAL SERVICE. We were greeted on arrival by the whole team and immediately magnetised to the front of house manager Carmen and our butler Mario. They featured prominently throughout our entire trip. I am sure we would have had a great holiday without these individuals, however, they took our holiday from great to SUPERLATIVE. Mario was extraordinary, particularly with our kids. they took to him like a family member which is quite rare for our fussy clingy two year old. From the personal service to the absolute warmth we felt it was amazing. the resort is set on an island that is roughly 1.3km in circumference, with numerous rooms and villas, however, you always feel as if you are one of only a few people on the island. the rooms are amazing, the food was sensational (the Thai restaurant, Benjarong was exceptional). the snorkling was brilliant and the drop off is literally close to your unit. no need to dive, snorkeling is enough!!! The pool area was great and we spent most of our days there. There are so many things i can say about this place to make you choose it, but the one key item is warmth and love, the staff take a deep personal interest in making things amazing for you. The person that we miss most is Mario, our kids still ask for him, a month later!!!! they want to know where is Uncle Mario and when can we go on the seaplane to Uncle Mario. We hope that one day we will vist the Dusit Maldives again and have the pleasure of having Mario and Carmen take care of us. Summary: The Good: virtually everything- people are amazing. This place is a place of dreams. The bad: some small lapses in service which is excusable- our bathroom toiletries were not replaced timeously on ocassion. I guess the island could also do with another restaurant- the food is excellent, but i think one more option would be great. The ugly: our minibar had some items consumed by the cleaners, although this was dealth with very well by the staff. Overall we cannot wait to go back!

We stayed in december 2013. The resort was still brand new. We live in bangkok and it was nice to see so many thai staff and service was exactly how one would get in Thailand. Sinan was assigned our room. And we cannot thank him enough for his hospitality. We enjoyed bai krapao and other thai food on most days. We were also lucky enough to see bioluminesent plankton (spelt right?) Three days in a row!! The marine biologist on site really helped us and was very informative went we went scuba diving. We also saw dolphins on the beach!!! The chef was very accommodating to our diets with lacto-vegetarian waffles, pancakes and croissants every morning and a cheese platter with vegetarian cheese. Will never ever forget this Resort!! Room was Amazing!! Service was Amazing!!! Can't really fault anything except maybe maldives is expensive...but worth it!

Being a hotelier, one never assumes anything when staying in a resort. But when one constantly gets "blown away" by almost every interaction and experience, you know that you are in a special place. Dusit Thani Maldives is one such place. The sense of arrival from the airport, being whisked away by our airport representative, ushered to the lounge was just the start of something amazing. After a short wait and some welcome refreshments, we boarded our seaplane, to enjoy the overhead stunning islands of the Maldives. Upon reaching the island resort, a wonderful personalised welcome by the GM, and his team of discerning colleagues and quickly boarded our buggy with our butler, Sinan and headed to our villas. We booked 2 beach villas but due to unavailability, they were unable to put us side by side with our daughter. The Beach Villas were heavenly, close to the beach and were treated to a nice bottle of bubbly. The next day, were were in for a surprise. Seeing that we were a family that needed a time out together after a very trying 6 months, the team at Dusit Thani Maldives sprang into action and somehow, delicately asked us if we would like an upgrade to the 2-bedroom Ocean Villa. "If we would like??" That was simple music to our ears and accepted without hesitation. We could be together as a family to enjoy each others' company after being away from each other. To describe the Ocean Villa as simply stunning is a very poor superlative. No words to adequately describe the beauty, the layout, the private pool deck, the access to the ocean, etc. Everything that we dreamt of was simply an out of body experience. One cannot go wrong with the F&B offerings at this resort. From the Marketplace for breakfast/dinner, the Sandbar for Sundowner Cocktails, Sea Grill that authentically produces the best seafood meals, and of course Benjarong, the royal thai cuisine restaurant that is second to none. Simply put, we were spoilt for choice, ate way too much and were always left wanting more but our poor tummies begged for a reprieve. The Deverana Spa stays true to its roots .... by being simply heavenly. We were just treated like royals, enjoyed the soothing and relaxing therapies and simply left it in the deft hands of Khun Ning and Khun Suk. We were left wanting for more after a 3 hour treatment, that we booked another session before we left. Unbelievable experience and ever so gracious. The icing on the cake was our last night at the resort. We were simply told to be ready for dinner and at the appointed time, were whisked away by our butler, Sinan (who never seems to sleep!) to a secluded part of the resort for a private dining under the stars. What an experience to be treated like there was no other guests on the island and all attention were on us. Eric the Chef and Ibuthi our server took excellent care of us and we actually did not want the night to end. Alas, the day had come for us to leave and when one has to regret leaving, it means that all aspects of the stay was simply enchanting. As always, personalised service right to the end with the GM, Reinhold and his able team were on hand to bid us a very fond farewell. There are way too many people to appreciate but would like to especially mention Sinan, Afa, Kris, Priya, Khun Ning and Khun Suk, Mohammed and Muhusin our housekeepers for making this trip a very relaxing one. We hope to return one day sometime soon.

Beautiful stay at the Dusit Thani resort. stayed for 4 nights and it was perfect. I stayed in the Ocean villa and I think it was the best room in the resort for couples looking for privacy. Its size was perfect and staying at the patio was really worth every penny paid. I liked having a bike to navigate through the small island with the availability of buggy service. They provide us with a private butler (Riyaz in our case) was kind and helpful in all the trip. He was a phone call away all the time. The food was great up to the expectations. We had half board plan and it was more than enough. The market restaurant was the best with many options and quality food. Spa also was great. My wife took the 3 days plan and she liked it so much. The water activities were great but pricey. we did sunset cruise, fishing, diving and jet ski. all were great and worth a try. Finally, the resort was great. beautiful luxurious room, but small island and pricey activities.

My husband and I went Maldive as a celebration for our 12th wedding anniversary. We stayed 2 nights in the luxury ocean villa with pool. Hospitality at its best. Staff would greet us every time when meet us specially highlight to Lee, he's so polite. Our butler a bit cool; hardly to see him smile, but it's not a big problem. Thanks to him for the arrangement of cake & room decoration. It's rainy days when we were there so there were limited for us to enjoy. Hope to go back again in dry season to enjoy the truly paradise!
