Dusit Thani Maldives

I have just spent eight wonderful days at the Dusit Thani Maldives, and the experience was truly exceptional. From the scenic seaplane arrival and the personal welcome by the General Manager, to the high-touch service provided by my butler and the outstanding food throughout my stay, everything contributed to a memorable time. I stayed in an Overwater Pool Villa and can highly recommend this category. The villas offer excellent privacy, direct reef access, and have been recently renovated, leaving them in pristine condition. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the linen was among the best I have experienced in any hotel. Housekeeping was outstanding. The team kept the villa immaculate and timed both daily service and turndown perfectly while I was out on activities. The island itself is truly magical. Everything is beautifully landscaped, feels authentic and considered. I tried in-villa dining, Sea Grill, and the Thai restaurant Benjarong, and every meal was excellent. Be sure to try the Lobster Thermidor at Sea Grill. Service across all venues was warm, engaging, and attentive. During my stay I enjoyed daily spa treatments, and the therapists delivered exceptional massages and therapies. The only small observation I would make is that the treatment rooms, beautifully located in little tree houses, felt a little tired and could benefit from a cosmetic refresh. I understand the hotel is currently undertaking upgrades, so I am confident this area will be addressed in due course. A special thank you goes to my butler, Saleem, who was exceptional. He was always there when I needed him and discreetly invisible when I wanted privacy. Thank you, Saleem, for making my stay so seamless and comfortable. You are a true asset to the hotel. Equally special thanks to Rose at the Ocean Dive Centre. Rose was an outstanding instructor who took me on 18 dives, including my first night dive. I could not have asked for a better dive buddy. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute underwater exploring the wonders of Baa Atoll. I would have no hesitation recommending this beautiful resort to anyone seeking a serene and relaxing escape, to divers looking for outstanding dive sites, or to couples in search of a romantic getaway. It was an awesome experience to stay and enjoy the hospitality of the resort.. There are many staff members with whom we met and they have assisted us in nice way... We would like to give thanks to Mr Anas, Chef Mohan, Anil Verma from F&B, Ms Mona from Sales Team, Ms Pevini from Reservations, Rifaa Mam and many more as list is long as their staff greets and assisted us in such a nice way that we really loved their hospitality.. Awesome,a good trip, Ajaa is a good household ~

This is our third trip to Maldives and the first time at Dusit Thani. We spent 11 nights there and everything was so perfect. The resort is located on the Mundhdhoo Island in the Baa Atoll, which is also the country’s first UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. It’s a very nice and peaceful island, about 35 minutes by seaplane from male, and it’s closed to Hanifaru, so that we had the opportunity to go there and see the manta rays. That was so breathtaking! Dusit Thani provides bikes for all the guests to ride around the island as well as free snorkel equipment. The coral is really one of the most beautiful we have seen! We saw all sorts of fishes; turtles and sharks, etc. very near from our villa. There are lots of activities, also for the children. We made a lovely sunset cruise; we also learnt to make some collars with coconut palm leaves and much more. You can do nature walks or just relax with yoga and sound bath mediation at the Devarana wellness. There are some restaurants on the island: the Market buffet (with theme nights), the Seagrill, the Sand Bar, the Benjarong (thai food) and the Sala Bar (this was our favorite one, a plant-based and vegan restaurant with delicious dishes!). We want to thank Jean-Louis and his whole team for our wonderful stay at Dusit Thani (thanks again for the memorable Sandbank Cocktails invitation!). Thank you, Anas, for take care of us every day and make us feel so comfortable. And thanks to Amila (Sala), Raveesha (Seagrill) and the rest of the restaurants team! Thanks also to the Ocean Dive & Sport Center for the excursions and the little Marine Life Presentation. We miss everything there and hope to come back again soon!

We had an amazing stay at Dusit Thani Maldives. From the moment we arrived until the day we left. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the house reef offers incredible coral life, making snorkeling an unforgettable experience.
