The Leela Mumbai

My wife and I stayed at The Leela Mumbai from 27th to 28th July for my birthday. Apologies for this long review as I truly wanted to share how special the team made my stay. My experience began with a small hiccup... my GHA Discovery reservation hadn’t reached the hotel’s system. I only found out at check‑in, and for a moment I was worried my birthday stay might start off on stressful. But Akhil from the front office stepped in with calm confidence. He took my booking details from the app, coordinated everything with reservations, recreated the booking at the same rate, and even upgraded me to the next room category. While this was being sorted, he asked Ammar from the Guest Team to take me to the lounge and offer refreshments, which instantly eased the stress. Ammar later gave me a tour of the property, and during our conversation I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating my birthday... something the hotel didn’t know because my GHA booking never reached them. He was warm, kind, and genuinely interested in making our stay special. At the Royal Club Reception, Gerald Gomes assisted me with the check‑in. He was friendly, reassuring, and walked me through all the facilities included with my booking. He also personally ensured welcome amenities were arranged, which meant a lot. Once I reached my room, I received a call from Suhana, the Guest Relations Manager, who wished me a happy birthday and offered to send a cake and learning from Ammar. That call genuinely touched me it felt sincere and thoughtful. I was given Room 728, and as an aviation geek, it felt like a gift. I could watch landings from the living area and takeoffs from the bedroom. Even with monsoon visibility, I enjoyed some wonderful plane spotting. The room was spotless, comfortable, and felt like a quiet escape. The Royal Club Lounge had a lovely selection of snacks and desserts, and Noel and Kesar took great care of us with warm, prompt service. For dinner, we visited The Citrus. The buffet was delicious and of high quality. The only dish I didn’t enjoy was the tenderloin steak, which was a bit dry and salty, but everything else like the food, ambience, and service were top-notch. The next morning, I visited the gym and met Mayuresh, their in‑house trainer with over 17 years of experience. He guided me through my workout, corrected my form, suggested routines for when I travel, and even shared diet tips. He also created a personalised workout plan for me, which I truly appreciated. Breakfast at Jamavar was one of the highlights of our stay. It offered a calm, exclusive dining experience away from the rush of the regular buffet. Even past 10 AM, it was peaceful, and JB Chetan personally took care of our orders. My wife and I had a lovely, relaxed breakfast... the kind you remember. Later, we met Suhana in person near the front reception. She greeted us with a bright smile and assured us she’d be happy to assist with our next stay. That personal touch meant a lot. We ended our stay with lunch at The Great Wall, their Chinese restaurant. The dim sums and soup were fresh and delicious, and the ambience reminded us of a luxury train dinning car. Despite the initial hiccup, every interaction and gesture from the team made my birthday and our stay truly memorable. Thank you to everyone at The Leela Mumbai for making it special for my wife and me. We also love the beautiful driveway and lush greenery around the property. We look forward to returning in November.

My stay at The Leela Palace Mumbai was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The property is beautiful, the rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the hospitality is truly world-class.The highlight of my trip came at checkout. The hotel completely surprised us by arranging my airport drop-off in a luxurious Mercedes-Benz! It was the perfect, elegant ending to an already wonderful stay. The staff's attention to detail and dedication to creating memorable guest experiences is unmatched. We cannot wait to return!

Swapnil from front office was extremely kind and considerate to accommodate my request on my special day which was my birthday with good room and a cake placed in my room... Aditya too was quite helpful towards this process
