The Leela Mumbai

The Leela Mumbai is straight-up elite. From the moment you enter, it screams luxury without trying too hard. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and give that calm, rich energy you actually pay for. Service? On point. Staff are warm, professional, and genuinely make you feel looked after—not fake-politeness vibes. The food is a solid win, especially breakfast, with quality and variety done right. Location near the airport is a massive flex for travelers, yet it feels peaceful inside. The pool and spa add that resort feel in the middle of chaos. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. No regrets staying here.

Food poisoned by Hotel and management did not step up! Stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and was Definitely food poisoned by the hotel, absolute no doubt. No pro activity from the management to address the issue - I initiated three conversations in regards to this otherwise I think they would prefer not to discuss! Was eventually given a couple of discounts amounting to around $100 dollars off our bill which was an insult since we stayed at a suite for 6 nights. Stayed at lots of Indian Hotels over the years, we are from the UK and love Indian holidays, generally the standards are very high - mistakes happen but the response from the management was pitiful.

Well located just a 5 minute drive from Mumbai Airport T2 and within easy walking distance of the nearest Metro station.  Check-in at the clubroom desk was relaxed with the added benefit of coffee and biscuits while the admin was dealt with.  The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and pillows and a large, bolted down safe. It was a little dated though with no USB charging points and a regular plug socket on one side of the bed only. Plenty of food options to choose from and we particularly enjoyed the Chinese restaurant (all relatively expensive though). If you've booked a clubroom then there are various snacks and soft drinks (plus tea and coffee) available throughout the day in the Club lounge on the 8th floor. There's also complimentary alcoholic drinks (wine, beer and cocktails) available between 6-8pm each day but the lounge seemed strangely empty and quiet on the occasions that we were there for drinks (maybe that says more about us than anything else!). Outside, the pool was a great size and there seemed to be enough sunbeds to go around. The pool area is also surrounded by quite a lot of greenery and if you can see past the throngs of crows there is actually some quite interesting birdlife hanging around (magpie robins, sunbirds, barbets and common tailorbirds to name a few). What we particularly liked about this hotel was the service and the staff. It's unusual to stay in a hotel these days (especially for as long as 3 days) and not come across a single grumpy member of staff but that's what we found at the Leela. Overall we had a very good stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel especially at such sensible prices.  You'll need to bring your own HP sauce though!

Had a wonderful walking breakfast experience at The Leela Palace, Mumbai. The overall ambience was elegant and calm, making the morning feel truly special. The food quality and presentation were excellent, with a great variety to choose from. A special mention to the supporting staff, Prapti and Siddesh, who made the experience even better with their polite, attentive, and friendly service. They were professional yet warm, always ready to help with a smile, which really stood out. This breakfast was not just about food, but about the experience and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed and luxurious morning in the city. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
