The Oberoi, Mumbai

We celebrated my father’s 50th birthday at Oberoi, Mumbai, and it was truly special. The team went out of their way to make the occasion memorable, from a beautifully prepared room to warm, attentive service throughout. Dinner at Ziya was outstanding and the whole family enjoyed. Look forward to coming back.

Amazing Service and an Unforgettable Stay Stayed at The Oberoi with my elderly mum in December. We are both looking forward to going back. The staff from driver, door security, reception, management, chefs, waiters and waitresses were all amazing, friendly, approachable and seemed to know what you will need or desire before you do. I am sure cleaners were too but we never saw them though the rooms and hotel is immaculate. The hotel is calm, quiet and just the ticket after roaming around the busyness of Mumbai, which mum and I both appreciated especially in comparison to some of the other hotels in the vicinity. I had wondered if the traffic or having a room close to the lift would be noisy but not at all. What really has stood out and stayed with us was the responsiveness and attentiveness of the staff. When we arrived I noticed I was having difficulties breathing due to the air freshener throughout the hotel. I almost didn’t say anything, but then received a welcome email that I read whilst unable to sleep due to the breathing, so I wrote about my concerns. The next day before heading to breakfast I thought I would ask which restaurant would have the least fragrance, Mallika was there already and knew of my email and concerns, she assured me immediately that they were working on a clean room for me and she directed me to the restaurant which I immediately felt a breath of fresh air in. Had they changed the air in the restaurant already? Impressive and showed the level of care and attention to detail. Mallika came back to assure me that the room would be free of fragrance from the air to the linens. I was very impressed and felt totally cared for, especially as I had not even thought about the linens myself in my desperate attempt to just breath. This left me feeling totally at ease within this hotel and cared for by the staff. Dining was another highlight. We managed to visit all 3 restaurants within the hotel and each had staff that were caring and attentive and went out of their way to ensure mum had what she desired. We were sad to not have enough time to visit them again. The quality and taste of food was consistently excellent and just the right recommendations for us by staff. Breakfast was generous and a pleasure to start the day with. The location is ideal for exploring South Mumbai, with Marine Drive, the Gateway of India, and Colaba Causeway all within easy reach. Cannot wait to go back.

We chose the Oberoi for our family celebration and it was worth every moment. The team ensured our stay was perfect, evening at eau bar was magical with the sunset views — thoughtful touches and genuine friendliness made all the difference. The pool area is small but a hidden oasis in the middle of Mumbai, and the spa treatments were rejuvenating. It was an experience like luxury living.

First-class experience from arrival to departure. The interiors are elegant and modern, but the hospitality truly sets this hotel apart. Rooms felt super relaxing with plush linens and excellent amenities. The dining options were outstanding — creative, flavorful, and beautifully served. The gym was very clean too and great for a quick workout. Surely will come back soon. The gym instructor offered yoga sessions early morning, this is complimentary.

The Oberoi is the only place I would choose to stay. The hospitality is outstanding, with an exceptional team across the hotel. From the kitchen to the check-in staff, everyone is well trained and delivers amazing service.
