Reviews for Hotel Munchen Palace
The Munich Palace hotel is a fantastic little gem in the heart of Bogenhausen, close to the Munich city center. Especially after the renovations this year, it really is the perfect boutique hotel. Rooms a big and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The only criticism I have is the breakfast. €33 is far too high for the selection on offer and the staff aren’t exactly a ray of sunshine either. I will of course return- but have my breakfast around the corner.

Friends, let me tell you the one thing that should matter most about any hotel stay to you anywhere: how much the staff cares about the hotel and you. I found the Palace to be just that because the staff treated it like home and me like I was a guest in their home. I have never been so happy staying in a hotel. From check-in to check-out, they understood what I needed without me having to ask. The staff member not only took care of my paperwork, she escorted me to my room and reviewed the amenities there. And the room was fantastic. Not only did they do an excellent job designing and decorating the space, the bed was comfortable...and that is saying something for hotel beds in Germany! Highlights: I ate dinner twice in the hotel bar, which was an excellent decision not only for the comfortable perch I found in the back corner (I like to be able to see everything) but the excellent service by their bartender, Mr. Buchholtz and his staff. The menu in general was excellent. They offer a breakfast service in the mornings that you will enjoy immensely. More highlights: If you need to get anywhere in Munich: the tram picks up around the corner and the subway is down the block. You are minutes away from the center of old Munich.

The hotel has recently been creatively and thoughtfully renovated. So much care has been taken in the renovation, and the result is a triumph. There are so many positives: the beautiful garden, the spacious room closets, the excellent air-conditioning system. And, for once in a hotel, there are good shelves in the bathroom. Yet the renovators have maintained an "old world" flavour in the best possible way. (This is definitely NOT a glass and brick business hotel lacking in charm and comfort). Also, our room was probably the quietest I have ever had in any hotel anywhere! And the hotel is within easy walking distance to the beautiful English Garden. We also found the staff so welcoming and helpful. A special thanks to Nadine Muckes who helped us so efficiently with our reservation. When in Munich, stay here!

Stayed at this hotel for the first time on a recent family trip to Munich. It's located on a quiet street within easy walking (20 mins) or tram/cab (5-10 mins) distance from downtown. Rooms were well-appointed, clean and had A/C. The hallways were a bit sterile, which might be a function of the fact that the building is newer than the traditional décor of the rooms suggests. Downstairs are a small but cozy bar and a nice breakfast room. Breakfast (included in our rate, but well worth paying for if not) was outstanding and months later our children are still praising it. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite hotel in Munich. I occasionally try another just to see if they offer me something better but always come back to Hotel Muenchen Palace. The staff is very good, the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is delicious. It is a short taxi to the center of town and across the street is a wonderful gourmet deli and restaurant. I love this hotel.
