We had a very lovely stay - the staff was extremely courteous and helpful with directions, sights and dinner reservations. In room wifi worked great. Hotel accomodated our request to move to a room with balcony. Internal views peaceful and quiet. Hotel is a bit on quieter side of town but we found it to be an easy 20 mins +/- walk to center of Munich or English Gardens. The rooms are a bit on small side. But just fine. English/US TV channels are poor. Breakfast ok.

Hotel Muenchen Palace Maybe it was just the lousy night shift team that was busier flirting than giving their guests an appropriate welcome...I arrived with my 2 boys - 18 and 10 and instead of saying welcome the receptionist furiously shouted at us: What, you are three? Since we had just arrived from Dresden, which is a wonderful Baroque City in Germany, where we had booked for 2 adults and where it was entirely left upon us to decide if we wanted an extra bed for 30 Euros (the same policy in Prague and Vienna), in the Palace Hotel we felt the opposite of being in a palace. The receptionist also said that it was German law, which is absolute nonsense of course. It was clear to us that this policy was just a very handy means of scamming guests but what will you do if you arrive from a tiring flight. Anyway, we were forced to upgrade our room to have enough space for that extra bed which we were also forced to take. They just wouldn't let us into our room that we had booked without that extra payment, which they wrapped up in an "upgrade". This forced "upgrade" cost us another 100 Euro on top of the 200 Euro for what we had originally booked plus 30 Euro for the extra bed. (330 Euros per night instead of 200). Even then that new "larger" room was still tiny and uncomfortable. There was no space to move in the room, we were literally walking across our beds to get to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was so old and outdated with the shower in the bath tub. The last time I had seen such a bathroom was at my grandmother's 40 years ago. They boasted their minibar that they said was complementary but when we said that we neither wanted beer nor coke but more water instead they giggled, giving each other mischievous looks making us feel even more uncomfortable. Although we had originally booked for 3 nights we left the next morning with morning shift receptionists giggling again and giving us strange looks. That is certainly not the etiquette that would fit a real boutique hotel but it fitted absolutely that scam place. We left and checked right into the Charles Hotel Munich where a spacious beautifully furnished room awaited us. After we posted our review the hotel reported us to trip advisor to have our review deleted. We then decided to leave it that way since we still hadn't got the money back for the two other nights. The hotel deferred the refund payment for months and ripped us off once more: They paid us back only 300 Euros for 2 nights instead of 400 because they claimed that the first night cost double of the other nights. Although the original price that we had booked for was 200 Euro per night.

We started our holiday here on 30/12/2018. We were instantly struck by the luxuary upon entering the lobby. Perfectly located close to the Englischgarten, we chose this hotel for its quiet neibourhood and competitive price. We stayed over NYE and have only good things to say. The breakfast each morning was typical of a German hotel and delicious. The room was stunning, with views to the courtyard. A very large room by Munich standards as well. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom roomy and fully equipped. Bu what made this hotel beyond expectations was the staff. We were blown away by their friendliness and kindness, some even helping us learn more German words and phrases. We were lucky enough to meet the manager while staying and clearly, this is where the attitude for friendliness and service comes from. Her hotel is one of warmth and generosity, with her staff making you feel like you belong. Prior to staying here, we had always stayed at The Cortiina Hotel, close to the HofbrƤuhaus. We were searching for a hotel just like this so that we have a ā€œhome away from homeā€ when we travel to Germany. And in the Munchen Palace, we have found it. Even the guests were incredible! Canā€™t wait to return

We recently spent four exceptional nights at Hotel Muenchen Palace! A special shout out to the entire front desk staff who were always more than willing to assist with all of our needs. We especially want to thank Mr. Walter Piri and Ms. Yaela Chasklowicz for their kind attention and winning smiles! The rooms facing the garden are quiet and comfortable. The workout area is perfect and pretty. This is a quietly elegant hotel that is perfectly situated as well and safe and we hope to return.

The Palace is an easy place to stay! Reception was quick, polite and efficient. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with plenty of natural light and windows that open! Linens are luxurious. Staff are super efficient--the service is excellent. I ate the breakfast buffet each day. The highlight--fresh, delicious bread! I loved the location. It is on a quiet street, but excellent restaurants are nearby (try Kafer just across the street!!). The park is only a few blocks away--a great place for a run. The paths along the nearby river are beautiful and extend for miles.
