Excellent service! Beautiful Hotel in a very good location on the sea shore, sea is just in front of the Hotel. Hotel is designed in traditional Omani way and very authentic. Breakfast was excellent, the staff was very friendly and paying attention to each and every guest. Special thanks to chef Khadija, restaurant manager Ahmed, and of course Emad. These guys are making it special. Housekeeping and Engineering are doing an Amazing job. Reception Team are extremely helpful and special thanks to Sherifa and the other Omani guy who helped us with room upgrade. Sorry we didn’t get his name. Pool was amazing and special thanks to Ram!!! Another big thank you to Arabic Lady at spa, she was very nice to us. Sorry, we didn’t get her name. Spa was very nice, there is steam room, jacuzzi and sauna there and it all worked perfectly! Once again big thanks to all Grand Hyatt Muscat Team, you guys are doing a fantastic job!!!!

They Hyatt is over 25 years in service and undergoing renovation of the famous lobby and pool. It has a classic charm and the rooms are spacious. When the new pool is complete in November and lobby reopened it will be worth a next visit. Still has the best location of any of the hotels in Muscat, beside sea and nearby upmarket restaurant centere.

So my first time visiting Oman, hotel was booked for me so not much choice in the decision. Whilst it's down as a 5 star it's a little tired looking in places mostly the outside areas mind. Doesn't really distract from the fact the hotel is really quite comfortable. The staff are really friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel chain. Rooms were massive and clean, 8 bottles of water when I arrived, nice touch they all got drank on the first day and restocked daily. Restaurants are not too bad, Tuscany is good I would recommend the beef carpacchio, very good. Mokhan cafe well it does food, don't get excited for a decent coffee. Pool bar does banging beef satay and the bar staff down there were super helpful. Had issues on check out, my fault not the hotels forgot to activate a card but the young girl dealing with me was awesome. Loads of bars as part of the hotel, recommend the sports and safari bars. Set in a great location within easy walking distance of local restaurants etc if you fancy eating out. Beach literally within spitting distance. I'd definitely return if the opportunity arises. There was renovation work going on during my visit but you would never have thought it. Recommended if the price is right.

we enjoyed the hotel but the beach was a little but dirty and I saw some gipsy over there. It is better to control the condition.

We came for a 4 night vacation during Eid-al-Fitr, it was the cheapest 5 star hotel we found, but it certainly did not disappoint. We had a phenomenal experience staying in a twin bed room with a magnificent view of the beach and mountains in the distance. The staff are all brilliant and kind. Furthermore, the food was delicious in both room service, particularly, the Penne Arabiata as well as the included breakfast that had a huge buffet on offer with numerous cuisine. Although renovations were taking place, no disturbance to the experience was exhibited. Furthermore, the hands-on currency exchange was definitely convenient and seamless to get some Omani rial cash. Overall, we most certainly will return in the near future as the hotel gets its fresh new look. Definitely deserves a 5/5.
