Lovely hotel with beautiful views

Delight boutique hotel Mykinos We stayed at his hotel for the first week in October . It was in a lovely quiet spot in Ioaniss at the bottom of the island. Everything about the hotel was a very high standard and the staff were friendly and welcoming. This hotel has only 22 rooms but the rooms have everything you could want except no film channel on the television but the rest of the room and bed was very large and comfortable. Wi fi and safe was free. We had a room on the ground floor with lovely views of the ocean . The room got sun late in the day so we were able to watch the sunset. If I went back to this hotel l would probably prefer a higher floor. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in for sure. The staff brought a bread basket to the table at breakfast but if you asked for toast you got it toasted. The breakfast was served and there was a variety of egg dishes. The hotel was expensive to eat and drink so we went out every night. A lot of places in this area were closed due to the end of season but the Pizza restaurant across the road from the hotel was reasonably priced and did a variety of foods. Ornus was a fifteen minute walk with a big variety of restaurants . All buses cost 2 euros per trip and there was a bus stop right outside our hotel. The bus to Mykinos town took about fifteen minutes. We found Mykinos very expensive and would probably not return because of this . Paradise beach was pleasant and most places on the island are assessable from the town for two euros. If you eat in the town they put a few slices of stale bread on the table and olives and then charge you 4 euros for it if you eat it. If it’s put on the table it should be complimentary . Food in the town was average.

Lovely looking hotel, poor service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Came here for my 40th birthday. We received possibly the best welcome of any hotels I’ve stayed at. The blonde lady at reception is very personable and friendly, but we found this to be the only good part of the service we received. We stayed in room 35 (upgraded to hot tub) the room was quite tired and dated but was very spacious. The hotel looks lovely but we had a few issues. Service at breakfast was terrible, waiters kept forgetting things, cutlery, food, drinks etc it was quite a chore going for breakfast. Also the beach that the claim is included wasn’t when we was there it was payable which is false advertising. All in all we had a good stay but not sure I’d return

Excellent

We stayed in room #25. Immaculate. Hot tub, large veranda overlooking the sea and pool. Spacious room. SLH are a must if you expect high standards. Staff fantastic and it’s not fake. Would recommend for relaxation, good quality bed linen, and generally staring at the sea. Three immediate restaurants within a few mins walk, and Mykonos centre 15 mins bus ride.

Absolute delightful stay.

This small boutique hotel is 5 star. From the moment we arrived when we were greeted by Martha who gave us lots of information and then a guided tour of the hotel. We stayed in a superior suite, all rooms have a sea view. Breakfast is good but suggested your order as you go along otherwise the hot food can often arrive with your cereal. The pool towels were of very good quality. There is a short walk down to the beach but be prepared for the steep walk back up. The bus stops right outside the hotel and cost 2 euro one way into the town. There is a small supermarket opposite along with a restaurant across the road. All the staff are friendly and happy to help if they can. A few negatives, the TV only works on two channels which are German speaking. Also the wardrobe does not accommodate ladies maxi dresses. We were in room 21, and the stairs up to the next floor were very close to our room so at night guest returning to their rooms created a lot of noise walking up the stairs. Over all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return again.

It is a Delight

This is the 4th time we’ve visited Delight and it will certainly not be our last time, as always it’s exactly what you want from a holiday, a fantastic hotel in a great location, but the thing that sets it apart are the team, starting with the superb Nikolas, Marta and John upstairs, the guys downstairs, Kotzi, Kostas, Pannas, Jurgen, George and Lazlas, and the amazing chefs, to the teams looking after the rooms and grounds….a world class team. And…. the cherry on top of the cake, the very best Ellinikós sketoh on the island. Delight by name Delight by nature 😊
