A getaway place

Giving this hotel a 4.5 hinge rating, as these tired feet need a good night’s sleep. Nice central location. The town square is close by and a walk along the waterfront is nice. Not much traffic or tourist this time of the year

Gets an unfair bad rap

Except for the lack of Wi-Fi this is a pretty good hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great view. Nice pools with great views. The staff was very helpful in setting up a trip to the ruins as well as transportation. It has a great location above the old town, and is easy walking distance to a nice beach and some impressive ruins from one of the old fortresses. There’s an elevator down to the parking lot at the beginning of the old town, and if you don’t feel like walking back up the it’s a cheap €5 taxi from the taxi stand in town. Probably doesn’t rate 5 stars because of the lack of WiFi but we just used the hotspot on my IPhone and had no problems. I think some of the reviews are unfairly critical and I would recommend staying there.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed at in Greece

Booked a seaview room and was given a room that faces an old building and a pathway. When I complained I was told it was an upgrade. BS The one thing we looked for and booked was a nice seaview room. The friends we traveled with were given a room two stories higher with views of the sea and harbor. For the same price our room and patio looked at an old rundown building and some poorly kept trees on a pathway. The wifi does not work. There are about twenty light switches in the room but only half do anything and only if you play with them for a few minutes. We slept last night with one light on because it would not turn off. The rooms and the hotel are old and poorly maintained. There are 3 elevators but only 1 works. The pool area is overgrown with weeds. There are old broken tiles and worn out flooring everywhere. The main part of the hotel is shuttered including the reception area and the staff work out of a converted guest room. During breakfast there were workmen with a jackhammer outside the restaurant. Thank god we are only here for 3 nights and then off to a Marriott in Corfu. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Five star view but 0.5 stars for hotel

Through Colette, our group was placed in this sub standard hotel. Colette had to know it was a dump but still put people in this hole in the wall. The furniture in the room was extremely worn. The bathroom decor was from the 60s with stains in tub, sink and toilet. The door to the room could have been opened with a credit card. No proper hotel security doors. The elevator had a rug on top of the rug because floor so worn. The view was amazing but don’t fall off the balcony because held together with 2x4s. This was my personal experience and the rest of group had rooms that were much worse! To get to town you had to take an elevator down the hilltop. Two of the three elevators did not work and the area was dirty and not kept up. Also with a heatwave in Greece, there was no air conditioning in the lobby. Supposedly the villas are nice but based on my experience in hotel, I wouldn’t go back!

Dangerous and disgusting hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

Absolutely terrible hotel. My water in my bathroom was brown. There were bugs and trash all over the ground and spiders in our bed. No wifi. Behind the bar where they served drinks was full of trash. Elevators were broken and would open halfway between 2 floors. . Definitely not up to code or safe or worth the money. When we complained the staff told us they didn't care. STAY AWAY.
