Reviews for Naples Bay Resort
We stayed only one night at the Naples Bay Resort but we enjoyed the property so much it felt like a week. We went swimming the first day in the kid-friendly pool and my husband loved sitting in the inner tube for the little lazy river. Only drawback was the pool area was a quite a walk away which was a bit odd (though the hotel offered a shuttle). The room was comfortable, especially the large bathroom with separate large tub. Our room overlooked a small marina. Sitting on our balcony at sundown watching the boats was so relaxing. An included breakfast buffet would have been a big plus.
We stayed at the hotel in August 2017, we cancelled our original reservation and rescheduled for the following week, we were charged in advance for our stay($870.00) and payed over $300.00 at the hotel and now are being charged again because the hotel is claiming that they did not get paid. Getaroom and Amoma are the websites involved in this issue.
First - noise. The Resort is immediately next to a six-lane divided highway. We had a two-bedroom suite - the rear bedroom is adjacent to the highway, and truck, motorcycle and emergency vehicle noise is intrusive. Plus the noise of the hotel's garbage cart being wheeled early morning on the small tiles immediately outside the room window. Then there is the nearby airport - Google Earth it and see for yourself the proximity of the runway. The aircraft noise is tolerable when they are using the NW runway with aircraft approaching virtually over the top of you - if they are using the SW runway, then departures are very noisy - especially the many two-engined business/corporate jets. The noise reverberates among the buildings and it is intrusive. The airport operates a "voluntary" quiet period 2200 to 0700 but it is not enforced. We had departures as early as 0400, with many from around 0600. OK - it is not the Hotel's fault, but it would be nice to have been aware of the issue before booking, rather than have the surprise of the first noisy departure after arrival. Our balcony was large, but offered virtually no privacy - overlooked from above and the side. The balcony was dirty and desperately needed a deep clean. The balcony furniture was dirty and very tired. Although our suite was intended for four adults to occupy, we had just the one - dirty and tired - lounger. The resort restaurant is modern and in a good location, and is reasonably priced - but for the week we stayed (Jan/Feb 18) it was not well used and so it was pretty soulless. The attached Bonefish Grill was, in contrast, extremely busy with lengthy waits for a table - beware the noise and smokers if you get a room above that restaurant. I booked on a "Best Available Rate" with discount for staying over three nights - but when I was there and googled the daily rates for the final three nights of our stay, the rate difference was some $200 per night. I questioned this with the hotel and was given a token reduced rate - but only for the final three nights, and not the whole stay. If you book early, beware of paying higher prices than you might be able to get later. Technically, I suppose, it is on a Marina, but to us it was more of a boat-park - quite small with little of the atmosphere we usually associate with a Marina location. The view across the "Marina" from our suite was to other (privately owned) similar buildings. The in-suite coffee machine is the old, coffee-bag type machine - it worked, but was messy. I expected a Keurig type machine in a property of this price. Plus, the in-suite freezer door ice maker did not work, and when we arrived, one of the bathroom toilet roll holders was sitting on top of the Toilet seat, one of the vanity light bulbs was not working, and one of the main bedroom window opening handles was not attached properly - maintenance said it was normal, but the other window handle was properly attached, so that was a little confusing. Overall, when I pay premium prices for something, I expect a premium product. We do not feel that this was the case here. To end on a positive note, the Shuttle service to the restaurants on 5th Ave was good and the drivers were friendly and helpful.

Good location. Clean. Kitchen was under stocked. Staff was friendly. Take note: The pool was not attached to the hotel. It was at least a 5 minute walk. The spa and staff at the pool area was nice and service was good. Not near the beach but had Canal and lots of big pretty boats.
We have been going to Naples Bay Resort for several years and this was the first time that it was not up to par. The health club is amazing, but we were disappointed with our room. No hot water, a broken dishwasher and not as clean. All was corrected, but it was not what we expected.
