Grand Hotel Parker's in Naples, Italy

The stunning façade of the Grand Hotel Parker's looks exactly as it might have 100 years ago, when it was first purchased by George Parker Bidder: elegant and stately alongside a busy Neapolitan street. Inside, Italy's past is proudly displayed in a private collection of artful masterpieces that embrace the history, culture, and tradition of Naples. Sophisticated, stylish décor fills the parquet-floored lobby and continues into the spacious rooms, palatial suites, and elegantly appointed common areas. Dark, bold furniture stands in calming contrast to the soft, neutral tones of the walls and linens, creating a romantic harmony in each living space. Rooms include air conditioning, heating, a safe, minibar, television, and curtains designed by local artisans that adorn windows framing dramatic views of the city or the sea.

Taste the best Naples has to offer without ever leaving the hotel. The delectable menu at George's will leave you saying "delicioso," while the city's first champagneria, Champagnery finds its home at Grand Hotel Parker's and delights taste buds with vibrant champagnes and brilliant appetizers. Bidder's Bar & Cigar Room on the 6th floor of the hotel boasts panoramic views of the city, and an established, yet relaxed vibe. Wellness Center Day Light, the hotel's spa and fitness center, re-opening on October 30, 2012, offers a comprehensive catalogue of spa services and the latest gym equipment to help guests revive their physical bodies and rejuvenate weary minds. Naples, home to the American Cup World Series event in 2012, and again in 2013 has its own exciting array of events and attractions, including the Royal Palace, San Severo's Chapel, and the National Archaeological Museum, all just minutes from the hotel. Grand Hotel Parker's includes everything that comes to mind when visualizing a European getaway: romance, fine wine, art, and incomparable luxury.

I arrived on the 10th augest 17. When we got to property there was a sign saying hotel car park. Behind hotel. The attentendent Literally just told us get out of car he would park it ,,far enough . No Mention of money what so ever ..on our second night we were all dressed up To go up to restaurant on 6 floor where my 7 year old granddaughter who was with me had a McDonald's drink with her,..we sat down on balcony when waiter came over grabbed her drink and sweets. And put them In a tray while saying something to us in a raised voice,,he put them down on table on inside of restaurant so we sat down again ,,he grabbed them again this time on a tray and was walking away !!! It was very embarrassing with other residents watching .. we left restaurant and went to bed ,,, next day we seen manager told him about the behaviour of his waiter and he apologised profusely and offers us free cocktails the following evening .... the next evening the day before check out ,we were called over to desk on out return from dinner and given a bill for €90 for 3 days car park !!! Which we assumed was included with a surposedly 5 star hotel.. I said why wasn't we informed we had to pay ,, we don't get many drivers here only People in taxi was his reply ? There was no where in my booking which told me car park was €30 a night ...it is nothing but a big con...I have stayed all over the world and never I mean never been treated the way we were treated in the grand Parker Naples,,,, the staff should all be retrained in manners..and as for 5 star there isn't even a bar. It's a table with a few bottles of drink on it....the hotel is a shambles..miles from Anywhere in a less then nice area...the should be more then pleases with people's clientell then treat them Like criminals....The grand Parker will Never be seeing us again..awful Place !

The hotel is slightly out of the way with few restaurants close by, however, that said it is a really beautiful hotel inside with a stunning bar and restaurant on the 6th floor overlooking the Bay of Naples. We had one meal in the restaurant which is Michelin starred (and suitably priced) and it was extremely good. The breakfast was also good with fresh eggs cooked for you if you wanted. Our room was beautiful, very comfortable with a small terrace and also overlooked the bay. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have had. A slight gripe was that there was no BBC News but then I don't go to Naples to watch TV! The bathroom wasn't perfect as there was no shelf in the shower and no towel rails anywhere. A slightly bigger problem was a temperamental toilet. As it was a weekend there were no maintenance staff available but it wasn't repaired on the Monday and finally gave up completely overnight on Mon/Tues. It looks like it's a design fault as it has apparently happened to others. Generally the staff and service were absolutely great, though the restaurant service was a bit patchy. The waiter who looked after us most evenings, Ciro, was outstanding - incredibly welcoming, pleasant with a lovely smile. He made our visits to the bar and restaurant really first class. Some of the others were a little off hand, especially at breakfast, and slow to react. The reception desk staff, especially Imma and Vincenzo, were extremely pleasant and helpful. All in all the hotel we loved the hotel and can't wait to go back!

We stayed at this hotel whilst in Naples and used it as a base to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast.Wonderful Hotel with very freindly and helpful staff.Breakfast was great with a good selection and a great view of the Bay of Naples. Stayed in a deluxe room with a Balcony with a sea view which was great in the evenings to sit out and relax after a hard days visiting. Would definitely reccommend this hotel when visiting Naples.

Would not call the hotel 5 star. Limited is eating only a very expensive restaurant on the 6 floor although has spectacular views over the bay of Naples. the hotel is too high up and away from the centre with no metro nearby and it means taking taxis or tramping on foot for miles. The room had been recently refurbished and was comfortable especially the bed I could have slept all day. No shelve in the shower for soap etc.

This hotel pretending to be 5* is located at very noisy street far away from downtown. No swimming pool.TV is analogue what is rear even in low grade hotels.Snow on the screen and only CNN as English channel .Anyway hotel's personnel is helpful ,rooms are clean and well decorated. But bathroom equipment is obsolete: we had to repair water leakage in toilet after every use...
