This hotel pretending to be 5* is located at very noisy street far away from downtown.No swimming pool.TV is analogue what is rear even in low grade hotels.Snow on the screen and only CNN as English channel .Anyway hotel's personnel is helpful ,rooms are clean and well decorated.But bathroom equipment is obsolete: we had to repair water leakage in toilet after every use...

The hotel is great and the team of the hotel is really nice and available at all time, the room we had was newly redone and very well organized, small issue the noise in the room is you have near your room, loud Italians! Over all I would recommend that hotel!

On the way to the hotel the taxi driver expressed to us that this was a 5 star hotel thus are expectations were set high straight away. Upon arrival we were greeted by lovely receptionists and the decor of the hotel looked beautiful. Our room was quite dated and just enough room for our luggage. However we were quite disappointed with the amount of noise that woke us up each morning around 5:30am-6am (not sure what was going on) which was going On in the hallways both mornings- very unpleasant. Our room also did not get serviced until approx 3:30pm. The bar was really good for cocktails with an amazing view (€14 a cocktail they were nice). We were going to go for dinner at the restaurant however told we were unable due to my partner being unable to meet the dress code which was long pants (we are here on a European summer holiday so did not bring Long pants which was disappointing). The breakfast was standard however something that was majorly disappointing was the state of the cutlery and plates/ bowls they were all dirty and/or stained with left over food which made it quite uncomfortable to eat with. The location is okay as there is not many shops around the hotel and it requires a 10/15 min to get to restaurants/ shops. The wifi was average.

We stayed at this property twice - the first time for two nights and then again for a night after a tour of the Amalfi coast. For us the staff made a world of difference - they were super friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to help us at every turn especially those at the front desk (the breakfast service however was super slow). Some reviewers have pointed out that the location isn't the best. While it's true that the hotel is located in a more residential area, we actually found this an advantage. It was pleasant 15 minute walk to the seafront and a 5-7 minute walk to the high end shopping district. It was nice to be away from the touristy areas and as such we had a more local experience of Naples. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor I requested a renovated room upon arrival but one wasn't available in the category I had booked (Deluxe Sea View). The manager however was very accommodating. He gave us the option to choose between two types of room- a deluxe sea view (unrenovated) and a standard renovated room. If we were to take the latter, he promised to upgrade us to a split level suite the next night along with complimentary drinks at hotel terrace. We decided to take his offer. The regular renovated room was nice - the bed was very comfortable and the fictures were new (although these were still classic in look versus modern). The view however was awful but we were out all day so I didn't notice. The next day we moved to the split level suite which although generous in size and with a fantastic view, felt dusty and old. The TVs were small and the picture unclear. The TV upstairs was also missing a remote control! The wifi was also patchy. The sheets weren't as soft adn the bathroom downstairs was musty. For our final stay I decided to request a renovated room again but this time with a sea view and it was perfect! Third time's a charm! From my understanding, the hotel is still undergoing a complete refurbishment. Once that's complete I am sure it will be a top choice for travellers in Naples.

Very dated hotel. Selected through Priceline discounted mystery Five Star in Naples. Actually enjoyed it given it was half off. Would have felt very cheated if otherwise. The last remodel looks decades old and the wiring which looked unsafe seemed well north of fifty years old. The TV would turn off and on during Wimbledon. We left it off thinking we could burn the place down if left on. George's is nice and the view is spectacular however my pasta through room service was more salty than the Mediterranean. The area seemed a little rough but most of the Naples I saw looked that way.
