There’s an immediate wow factor when you enter The Hermitage. The lobby is stunning and makes the hotel feel like a destination in itself. Everything is beautifully maintained and clean – there’s none of the faded grandeur that can come with historic hotels. Grand public spaces in hotels can sometimes make guest rooms feel a bit of a let down. That wasn’t the case at The Hermitage. Our room was spacious and very tastefully decorated with an upmarket feel. It was always a pleasure to come back after a day (or night) exploring the attractions of Nashville. On that topic, The Hermitage is well located, being close (but not too close) to Broadway and many other attractions of Nashville. We didn’t make use of the bar or restaurant at the hotel. I can’t speak for the food or drink, but the basement setting of both the bar and restaurant lacked immediate appeal. Anyway, a bar will materialise from time to time in the lobby, which is a wonderful setting for a drink and chat. Our overall experience at The Hermitage wasn’t quite as polished as at other 5 star hotels, but it came very close. A great choice when visiting Nashville.

We have always stayed at The Thompson Hotel in the past. This trip we tried The Hermitage and it was by far the better choice.The front desk staff are fantastic. The in room dining was delicious and the cafe had the best croissants I've ever had outside of Paris. I'm returning this week to pack up my son at Vanderbilt and am so happy to be returning to this elegant hotel!

I stayed with my daughter for three nights and we loved our stay at the Hermitage. The hotel is beautiful, the front of house staff are incredibly attentive and the location couldn’t be better. Just far enough away from Broadway to feel peaceful but still walking distance to most key attractions. Our room was fantastic with many little touches that made it feel very special (including the use of hotel umbrellas – which came in very handy!). And a very special note of thanks to Mitch whose kind attention surpassed our expectations. It is a magnificent hotel. My only negative comment – which is not linked solely to the Hermitage– is that there was a lot of single use plastic and it would be great to see more sustainable options.

Beautiful hotel in the classic style. The lobby is spacious and inviting. The guest room we had was large, well lit, and set with great bedding and pillows. The bathroom was ornate and well stocked. Housekeeping staff was accommodating and efficient, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Stopped by The Pink Hermit Cafe which is in the Hermitage Hotel. Such a cute cafe with a wonderful cherry cream cheese strudel. If you are staying at the hotel or walking by, you should stop by! Friendly staff and a cozy chai latte too. Highly recommend.
