Stopped by The Pink Hermit Cafe which is in the Hermitage Hotel. Such a cute cafe with a wonderful cherry cream cheese strudel. If you are staying at the hotel or walking by, you should stop by! Friendly staff and a cozy chai latte too. Highly recommend.

Front desk staff should be more welcoming to guests - giving layout of hotel- wanting to ensure all guests are informed of their package stay ...ensuring all guests feel welcome and answering any questions.... more service first attitude. Restaurant had excellent service, food delicious - atmosphere elegant.

Without a doubt a beautiful hotel that is very well maintained and looked after. It really was stunning with a gorgeous lobby that was relaxing and comfortable, and offered a break from the downtown foray. The rooms were spacious, clean and service was excellent. With that said, where it could have been better is: bar closed extremely and surprising early (one night it closed before 2030 on a Friday night! As an older couple we loved downtown in the day but headed back to the hotel after dinner as it was too busy and very lively. Our intention was to have quiet after-dinner drinks before retiring to our room, so with such an early close this somewhat put a dampen on the evening, especially at the bar was advertised as being open until 2200, which is what we were expecting. Additionally, the hotel's lobby is used for private paying events, such as photo shoots and afternoon tea, which disrupted paying guests from using the facilities, which was discourteous and disappointing. We would use the lobby to cool down in the early afternoon after a walk downtown in the morning, so that was inconvenient and could have easily been resolved with some thought being given to devoting a section of the lobby to paying guests. We had stayed in The Plaza on Fifth Ave in NYC, immediately before visiting The Hermitage and I have to say this is something they managed a lot more sensitively. Additionally, whilst booking a late check-out (our flight was at 2130) and having this confirmed in writing via email, I was later advised this was not confirmed, they had no knowledge of it and it could not be guaranteed. In the end we begrudged paying for poor service, so opted out anyway. In summary, the hotel is second to none, beautiful, clean and comfortable; however, the front of house staff are somewhat arrogant and full of their own importance, and less hospitable then we generally found in the wonder Pink Hermit Cafe (on-site) and the gift shop. The service in the cafe and shop was second to none.

Travelled for business but I enjoyed every minute spent in the hotel. The hotel looks vintage, the service is excellent and the rooms are equipped with everything that you need. I truly recommend staying at this hotel

Lobby and Room were both elegant. Staff was very helpful and eager to share the history of the Hotel. The Hermitage is the perfect distance away from the hustle of Broadway but just a short walk without the noise at night. Absolute homerun staying here.
