Jamienique you rock!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

Wonderful hotel and a great location. We had a corner suite with great views, definitely request a high floor city view. Entire staff was very welcoming and polite. Jamienique at the front desk was AMAZING. She went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay.

Disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

The hotel was absolutely stunning! I had the pleasure of staying in one of their luxurious suites for my birthday weekend, and it was truly amazing. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. However, I did have a rather unpleasant encounter with one of the housekeepers in the lobby bathroom. She was quite short and had a noticeable accent. While she was standing there on her phone, engaged in a video call, I politely asked her why the bathroom was so dirty. To my surprise, she responded by cursing at me, which was completely uncalled for. Two other ladies who were also in the bathroom at the time agreed with me, stating that it had been dirty since 6pm that evening. Despite this unfortunate incident, I still had a fantastic time celebrating my birthday in Nashville. However, I must express my disappointment with the behavior of the housekeeper at JW Marriott. My husband and I have traveled to many places before, and we have never experienced such disrespectful treatment from a staff member. As an ambassador, my husband will be reaching out to the corporate office to address this issue. We have already attempted to contact the front desk, but they were unable to provide us with any information. We hope that we can obtain the name of the housekeeper who was working that night for further action to be taken.

Great experience. Always enjoy my stay

I've stayed here many times and always been very happy. The hotel is spotless and the staff is a delight. Amenities are great. Food is not the best. Breakfast is fine but the other meals are meh. Two staff members Azza and Samantha who work in the Concierge lounge are both fantastic. I hope they are recognized.

"Sorry. We sold your room. Stay somewhere else." Sincerely, Marriott Management.

Horrible customer service. We have stayed here before. We are Ambassador Titanium Elite with Marriott. Not much higher status. We had reservations for over 2 months. It doesn't matter with these people. All of that to say, imagine what would happen if a paying hotel guest didn't have status? Unimaginable. Here is the story. We arrived at 9:45p - not unreasonably late and well within the parameters of our reservation check in time. The "manager" at the front desk (can't leave names here) came in behind his associate to explain that he had booked walk-in reservations over paid customer reservations and overbooked the hotel. He had a smug look on his face. "Sorry, we don't have any rooms left." His associate was mortified and kept shaking her head in disbelief. She knew what he had done was wrong. I asked "When did you do that?" His answer was, "Just a few minutes ago." We asked to speak to the General Manager. "I'm the only one here at this moment. You'll have to deal with me." This behavior is the WORST possible management mistake a supposed hotel desk manager could make. There was zero customer service. No email to let us know ahead of time. No phone call warning that they had violated their own reservation policy. The best they could do? "We have rooms at the hotel next door for you." Except that when we tugged our luggage down the street like vagabonds and arrived at that hotel, no one from the JW Marriott had bothered to call. Another gentleman was right behind us with the same problem. We got the last two rooms - at a premium, of course. We would like to expect something better from a flagship Marriott. Especially for the loyal few that kept these properties afloat during COVID. But sadly, no. Not at the JW Marriott Nashville. What an unmitigated disaster. If this guy worked for me, he wouldn't. And he shouldn't. The Florida owner's group needs to pay attention here. The management is not good.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, but the best part was the customer service. Every employee around every corner was eager to help and super friendly. Especially ELLEN! She went above and beyond to make our day and I really appreciated her helpfulness. She was super kind and friendly. What a gem! Thank you for an amazing Nashville experience!
