Major construction not disclosed before arrival

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing, primarily because the hotel never communicated that major construction would be taking place during my stay. There was no mention of it during booking or in any pre-arrival communication, so the condition of the property came as a complete surprise upon arrival. The hotel’s common areas—including the exterior plaza, entrance lobby, and first-floor hallways—were under construction, and construction was still ongoing when I checked in around 9:30 p.m., which made for a less-than-welcoming arrival. The lack of exterior signage added to the confusion. Because of the construction, we initially entered the wrong lobby, and there was little direction to help guests find the correct entrance. The front desk staff acknowledged the disruption and spoke with their manager, but they were unable to offer a meaningful resolution. My room also had a clogged sink, which was surprising given that it had recently been renovated. To the hotel’s credit, maintenance responded promptly and resolved the issue. I understand that renovations are sometimes necessary. However, guests should be informed in advance when significant construction will affect their stay. Had I known about the extent of the construction, I would have had the opportunity to decide whether to keep my reservation or book elsewhere.

Great experience amidst renovation construction

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Even though the hotel is undergoing a major renovation, the staff made our stay very comfortable. Surprisingly, the sounds of construction were minimal and not disruptive at all. All of our requests were met quickly and with a smile. I especially want to acknowledge Van, the doorman at the garage entrance. We were struggling with more than we could handle and Van seemed to appear out of nowhere. He quickly came to our aid and took over to carry our bags and pack our trunk without stopping to even ask if we needed help. He was pleasant and smiling and then proceeded to give us fuel and restaurant recommendations. We definitely felt he went over and above what was expected. We highly recommend Loews Nashville. Shout out to Van!

Comfortable Stay, Generous Amenities

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I stayed at the Loews Nashville Hotel at Vanderbilt Plaza recently for a work conference. Despite some of the initial hiccups with the check-in / billing process, I had a great experience and overall comfortable stay here. The room was very nice, it featured a round table desk and bench area for me to work out of and the view outside overlooked the rooftop. The amenities here were also great: including generous amounts of toiletries and towels, a coffee maker and a very comfortable bed. The staff member at the door, Van — was especially welcoming and kind! The front desk staff were also attentive, helped me to store my bags and recommended activities for me to do while I still had most of the day to explore before my flight.

We’ve been here this week for a work conference and have had a great experience. The customer service is excellent, beautiful clean rooms, great quality food. The doorman are so charming and resourceful - especially Van! We would highly recommend and be glad to visit again ourselves.

Perfect Location and Wonderful Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay here for my niece's graduation. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are incredibly spacious and quiet, and the staff truly went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The location is perfect, close and walkable to Vanderbilt and everything else we needed during our stay. The front desk was also super helpful in recommending places to run around the hotel! Highly recommend!
