Reviews for Finikas Hotel

Not a very good experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

This hotel is off the beaten path so a car is needed. We booked a two bedroom suite and it said there was one room with double bed and one with a sofa bed.the second bedroom had a couch and a very uncomfortable one. When I brought it to the front desks attention they ignored the situation. The food was so so. Wild cats everywhere jumping on your chairs and the tables. Not very relaxing if your not a cat person. Also not very sanitary if the cats are wild. It is one the. Beach but it’s very distant from all the action of the beach bars and shops. I went with friends and they had the sewer basck up into the shower while in it,kind of gross. This island does have a lot to offer. We made the best of it. Elizabeth Rapolla

Amazing restaurant

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 months ago

My friends and I found the restaurant at the hotel by chance and ended up loving it! The wait staff were incredibly friendly and proficient in English. The food was absolutely incredible. Chef Giorgos Papagiannis made meals that went far above our expectations. He later came by our table to make sure we liked everything. It was obvious that he stakes great pride in cooking and making people happy. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Naxos!

Stunning hotel on the best beach in Naxos

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

We spent 8 stunning days here and can't recommend it enough. The beach is the best on Naxos (we tried 8 of them), and the snorkeling is top rate. The large pool is salt water and so cool and refreshing. The staff are the best - truly! Special shout out to Iro and Nancy for always taking care of us and making us feel so welcome. We chose this hotel because it was a bit removed from Naxos town and the winds. We rented a car and toured the island and loved coming back "home" to our day-trip base at Finikas. The breakfast is outstanding and included in the cost. It offers an array of choices that are Greek inspired along with European and American breakfast favorites. We highly recommend trying nearby restaurants - especially Faros. Near Faros is the best grocery story, Gratzias, that has everything you could need at great prices. Our rooms were always clean and we slept so well. Thank you, Finikas, for being all we imagined and more. We hope to visit again.

Nothing better than the Finikas!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 months ago

If you are visiting Naxos you HAVE to stay here! My sister and I were visiting Greece for the first time and had nothing to go on, but reviews when booking our accommodations. However, after visiting Paris, Athens, Santorini and Naxos, by far our favorite was the Finikas Hotel! Our room was exceptional, we did the junior suite with the hot tub and had a ton of room and the accommodations were beautiful, clean and modern! Additionally, the entire staff at this hotel was next level—everyone was friendly and extremely accommodating! We asked if we could get massages and Kalliopi called and asked for them to rearrange their schedule to fit us in since we were only here for one night. They offered us a welcome shot at the bar while we waited for our room. As we waited for our massages to start Kalliopi told us that dinner ended at 10 and ensured that we could order ahead of time so we wouldn’t Be hungry after our massages. They went the extra mile on everything! Including letting us stay in our room until we had to catch our flight. Lastly, the private beach and pool here are fantastic—it is secluded, quiet and luxurious. While we know we came in the off season (May), we had the beach to ourselves and loved being able to walk directly onto the beach from the hotel! What a magnificent place—I can’t wait to bring my whole family back here to stay!

Perfect place for a getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed March 12, 2023

The hotel exceeded my expectations, compact and comfortable, very good restaurant on the site, good swimming pool. A few local tavernas in a walking distance (20min walking), higly recommended. Secluded location, no other hotels around (although there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, it goes very rarely - for going around the island its better to rent a car, taxi to the port was 30 eur). We stayed in executive suite, Room was well designed with comfortable beds. Very good breakfast with fresh juices included. We were a couple of friends traveling, and liked kind of a club feeling in the hotel that was a bit spoiled for a few days by hyperactive kids in the swimming pool whose parents didn't care at all. I understand this is not something that hotel can change. Do not miss nearby Alyko beaches and graffiti painted ruins.
