Another amazing stay at The Hermitage! I stay there every time I visit Nevis and it simply exceptional. The service, the food, the grounds, and the rooms are amazing. When arriving at The Hermitage, you are welcomed like family and everyone makes you feel like you are at home. I highly recommend staying at The Hermitage during your time on Nevis.

My family and I stayed at the Hermitage in early December, 2023 and had a wonderful experience - it was truly one of the nicest places I've ever been. We were at the Yellow Manor which was an extremely large and beautiful Caribbean-style house with plenty of room for 4 people; a family of 6 would be just as comfortable. (Because one of the bedrooms is accessed through another, its suitability for a group depends on its configuration). And although the grounds and all of the buildings are beautiful and well-maintained, what makes the Hermitage truly special is its staff, including the owner/manager, Richie, and everyone else who works there. The included breakfast and afternoon tea was fantastic, as is the restaurant. I definitely recommend staying here and can't wait to return.

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Hermitage for 3 nights and it was outstanding in every way. I had asked Richie to arrange for transportation from St. Kitts and we had an easy trip via water taxi/cabs. We stayed in the Tree Top cottage on the 2nd floor and the views were breathtaking and peaceful. We loved sitting outside on the balcony with the comfy hammock, and taking in the tropical beauty of Nevis. Breakfasts were phenomenal- our favorite being the coconut French toast. The homemade yogurt was rich and creamy, and was nice accompanied by granola and fresh fruit. The Wednesday Night Pig Roast was a great experience- everything was absolutely delicious and top quality. The service at all times was gracious and caring. One of our days was spent swimming and lounging by the clean and beautiful pool area, where we ordered rum punch and some excellent lunch items. We also enjoyed a day at Chrishi Beach Club. We had top quality dinners at Bananas and Drift restaurants. At Bananas we went up to the rooftop area before dinner and the views were beyond beautiful. A gentleman did a very talented job of playing guitar and we enjoyed our time there as well as a fresh and gourmet dinner. Drift also was excellent- gorgeous views and outstanding food/service. We loved going for morning walks before breakfast each day, taking in the beauty of the area. I bought pretty jewelry at the Resort’s gift shop- Annie was really helpful and so nice to chat with! I definitely want to come back to the Hermitage. It was a magical stay that was unique and there is so much about the Inn and people there that I appreciated. I highly recommend!

We just left the Hermitage, having spent nine nights in the Blue House. We stayed with our two children, ages 8 and 11. I cannot express just how special this place is. We have traveled to mega resorts and many low-key destinations, but the Hermitage will always stick out and hold a special place in our hearts. We woke up every morning to a cool breeze through the screens, rooster calls and monkeys on the roof. We played card games and chess every day in the library and wandered the grounds to watch the monkeys play. We rented a car (a “must” in my opinion) to get around the island and visit the beaches. We spent many afternoons at the beach and would come back to the pool to relax and take in the views of Mount Nevis. The pool is peaceful and quite pleasant. It’s really such a beautiful property. I felt safe driving around alone with the kids while my husband stayed back to work. The WiFi was strong enough for each of us to participate in video conferences without any problems (even from the porch of our cottage). The owners and employees clearly care a lot for the inn and cottages. Everything is uniquely and thoughtfully decorated and laid out. The food was fantastic- especially the pig roast night and pizza night. Don’t miss either of those! Afternoon carrot cake and tea (or the rum punch!) is lovely. The Hermitage Boutique, run by Annie, is awesome- little paintings of the cottages and grounds- tons of tasteful resort wear. The hotel arranged all logistics for arrival and departure and any outings we wanted to take without our rental car. On top of everything, everyone at the Hermitage made our daughter’s birthday so perfect- with a homemade cake and fanfare. I’m sure she’ll never forget it. It was so wonderful to get to know all the other guests from around the world- most of who had been there before and were returning because of their love for the property. We send our sincerest thanks to Richie, Richard, Cadilla, Shawn and the entire Hermitage team for making our nine days in Nevis so wonderful. I hope one day we make it back!

Spent a week at this wonderful relaxing location. Located on the side of a mountain, it has great views, rooms, pool, staff and dining. Nevis is a small island so you are never very far from the beach, good restaurants and sites. Although unlike other vacations this was just truly relaxing with no need to get anywhere unless you want to. Just can't say enough about the Hermitage and the island of Nevis.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hermitage Plantation Inn. From the welcome rum punch, to all the wonderful gourmet dinners, to the secluded and peaceful porch where my wife spent most her time reading...an excellent experience, and one which we will need to do again.
