The Leela Palace, New Delhi sets a very high standard for service and hospitality. The staff was wonderful, helpful, courteous and most welcoming. It starts the minute you arrive at the Leela. The rooms were beautifully appointed, immaculate and such a respite for a weary travelers. The Qube Restaurant was great, very good food. The flower arrangements in the Lobby were outstanding, worth many "Instagram Photos." This was our second time to Delhi and now we have stayed at three different (3) five (5) star hotels, neither holds a candle to The Leela Palace. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I have nothing but praise for the ownership management and team. Perfect decor, service and ambience. The gym is a bit dark! Jamavar and Qube are excellent dining options.

I organised a large sized conference here. The staff were excellent, very responsive and understood the complexities involved with running a conference for more than 200 delegates. They were quick to respond and always eager and available to help. Having worked with a number of hotels in India when organising conferences, I know how tough it can get and how slow to respond some hotels can be. Leela was such a good change. I am so thankful to have discovered them. My stay at the hotel was amazing as well. I loved their breakfast area and selection of foods. My husband had a bit of a cold (as it was getting colder in Delhi in early December) and the hotel staff made fresh toddy with spices on the house. It is these little attention to details that make all the difference. The room was beautifully decorated and we had an amazingly comfortable stay.

We stayed two nights at the Leela at the beginning of our express India trip, and especially after a long flight, the welcome and comfort we experienced at the Leela were exceptional. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and courteous, the breakfast spread was very nice, the flower arrangements were spectacular, the rooftop pool was cool/clean (but was put off by the pigeons -- Delhi is full of birds, so unavoidable). We went to the two bars for drinks (Library and Cirque), good cocktails. They have a few restaurants too, which we found convenient on the day we arrived.

The flaws explain the 4 out of 5 stars rating for an hotel which is truly nice and modern -though a bit on the grand style- pour ( the spa and spa treatments are especially nice - the gym a bit too dark and on the small side for such a big hotel ). So on the flaws, among other things I found the staff friendly but a bit intrusive for my taste : the butler entered twice in my room without knocking before ( and forgot to replenish the minibar for two days) which I was really upset and got just a “sorry about that “ as a response. In addition, the management need to be better in their communication: when I booked the room I was told there is a complementary one way to the airport which I was then told I should pay .. same for the access to the executive lounge (when booking I had access but find out when I arrived It was not the case .. and then again got “ a really sorry” ..) Overall an ok couple of days ( in spite of the awful haze outside), but not sure I will return when back to Delhi.
