Not the Experience We Hoped for on a Special Occasion
We booked a one-night staycation to celebrate my wife’s first birthday after our marriage, and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations. As a club member at other Leela branch, I was given a complimentary cake and a room upgrade arranged prior to arrival, which I appreciated. However, the celebration mood was affected soon after check in. The room had USED CUTLERY, an UNCLEAN KETTLE, and no utensil provided to cut the cake. Housekeeping took over 20 minutes to respond, and despite multiple calls to the operator, there was no answer. Eventually, I had to message a dedicated associate on WhatsApp to get the issue resolved. This delay and lack of readiness spoiled the surprise I had planned. The most embarrassing moment was at breakfast at The Qube, where I was stopped mid-meal regarding attire. There had been no communication at check-in or in the room about any dress code. Being addressed in front of other guests was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The staff behavior at breakfast was disappointing, though other team members during the stay were polite and apologetic. Dinner at MEGU, was good and helped improve the evening slightly. However, for such an important personal occasion, the overall experience fell short. I would not choose to return by preference.
