Reviews for The Leela Palace New Delhi
This hotel was nothing short of exquisite. This property is located nearly 14kms from the International airport, and it took us nearly 40 minutes to the hotel on that Sunday morning. We were treated as royals from the moment we stepped into this hotel. We were welcomed with red vermilion on our foreheads and jasmine garlands. And this was just the beginning of a beautiful stay at this hotel. The room was grand and spacious. The room and the washroom were decorated with a hint of antiquity, which was a treat to our eyes and contributed to the royal ambiance. The default TV channel educated us about the owner of the hotel and how he created this concept of the Leela Palace named after his beloved wife. We paid a little over USD 200 for the room, and the service we received far outweighed the cost of the room. The language was no barrier as all the hotel staff we interacted with spoke fluent English. The concierge was overly helpful and provided us with a custom-made list of attractions we could visit for the day. The staff was overly accommodating and provided us with a late checkout due to our delayed travel arrangements. They also provided us with complimentary wi-fi! Be sure to request for their masala tea- the best I’ve ever had!
We stayed here for two nights middle of may 2017, but ended up renting the hotel BMW for seven day trip through the golden triangle: Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Delhi. The car came with the best driver we have ever experienced named Shishu, absolutely calm, knowledgeable, great English and not a hint of nervousness what is Indian traffic. Never once had I open the door for myself nor wonder where we were going. He picked us up everywhere (various hotels, historic sites and even late night dinners) with smile never leaving his face. For seven days straight. He slept and ate by himself as we needed some downtime- after all it was our 20th wedding anniversary trip. We are well seasoned travelers who have visited about 50 countries and now also seen all seven wonders of the world. Taj Mahal was our last. So trus us that in a country as "wild" as India, you need Shishu driving you. Simply unbelievable!

What a Service !! Ambiance of the Leela's is out of world. As we reached the Leela Palace, Staff over there welcomed us in a professional way. Our booked room was ready and well maintained. High Quality Service !!
We arrived very early around 6:30 and were pleasantly surprised our room was almost ready! We went for their breakfast buffet and by the time we finished it was ready and we were able to check in that early. We enjoyed the spa treatments, and the afternoon coffee and pastries in the lobby with live music. Each morning at breakfast we were treated to a new Indian breakfast dish to try, along with cappuccinos, made to order omelettes and a wonderful fruit selection. All of the friendly faces at breakfast were eager to look over my plans and give me suggestions to my daily itineraries. I can't think of one thing I would change or suggest other than keep up the good work! This place is outstanding and the service is second to none.
