Reviews for The Oberoi, New Delhi

Great ! Recommended

A fantastic hotel, management “present and accounted for” which makes a difference. From arrival you are aware this place is 5* the staff, polite and friendly, the service level superb, rooms are spacious & well appointed, fantastic views from bedroom. Restaurants very good, breakfast selection and service excellent. We had access to the residents lounge with our room, excellent oasis of peace, serving tea in the afternoon and drinks and canapés in the evening, top service too. Would comment that a 5* gym should be larger and more space around free weights area, only 1bench and space restricted. A great example of Oberoi. Recommended.

One of the finest hotels in the world.

One of the finest hotels I have ever stayed at. Comfortable large room, beautiful public spaces , excellent dining including an incomparable breakfast buffet. But most outstanding was the personalized service from every department, but especially the Concierge team. And at every venue the supervisor was enquiring as to how his team was meeting expectations. Can’t imagine there is a better place to stay in New Delhi.

Not a fan of Delhi, but loved the property

The staff was great. We stayed there at our first stop in India. The room, bedding, and amenities were great. Service and food were excellent. The Spa was great, best massage of my life, and at a great value.

Very disappointing experience at threesixty degrees, The Oberoi

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Wanted to share how disappointed my spouse and I felt today at the way we were treated at the 360 degrees today (the coffee shop at The Oberoi). My spouse had made the reservation for lunch quite some time ago but for some reason, despite the fact that we reached at 1 and could have been easily seated where we wanted to be (along with our guest), we were told firmly a) that the seat we wanted was reserved and b) that that was for their VIP guests!! Neither of those reasons made any sense and in fact the second reason smacked of extremely offensive kind of snobbery. My spouse and I have always liked going to The Oberoi and in particular have liked their hospitality. That is why we have recommended it to so many of our friends and family. Today's experience has been terribly disappointing (humiliating as well). In fact, I have no desire to go back there. Maybe they should clarify to people making reservations that they have hierarchies where so-called 'VIPs' are going to be given preferential treatment!
