Reviews for The Oberoi, New Delhi

Our stay at the Oberoi, New Delhi

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

Even though we live barely 15 minutes away in GK, every time my wife & I want to feel at home while not being at home, we find ourselves returning to The Oberoi, New Delhi. That, in itself, says everything. Our recent stay once again reminded us why this hotel stands in a league of its own. The culinary experiences were simply superb. Chef Eshan and Chef Rajinder went out of their way to make our meals memorable, warm, and deeply personal. Our anniversary dinner at 360 was especially special — the pastas were so beautifully done that they genuinely transported us back to Italy. It was one of those meals you don’t forget easily. Breakfast at 360 was equally delightful. On Chef Eshan’s recommendation, I indulged in the Chole Bhature — something a calorie-conscious person like me would normally stay ten feet away from — and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It was worth every indulgent moment. What truly sets The Oberoi apart, however, is the people and the thoughtfulness behind every gesture. Pushkar and Atul ji exceeded our expectations by miles by warmly welcoming us and upgrading us to a fantastic suite upon arrival. In a world that is increasingly fast-paced and automated by bots, it is incredibly refreshing to see a hotel that still believes in genuine human connection and personalised hospitality. One moment that truly touched me was walking into the suite and finding a small tray of dark chocolate waiting for me — something I had casually mentioned during a previous stay while dealing with a midnight craving. The fact that this was remembered and thoughtfully recreated speaks volumes about how seriously The Oberoi values its guests and their loyalty. It’s these little details, layered over flawless service and understated luxury, that make The Oberoi, New Delhi feel less like a hotel and more like a second home. We will keep coming back — not out of habit, but out of affection. Warm regards,  Ishaan Kataria

Value for money luxury in the heart of New Delhi

The Oberoi Delhi is an exceptional hotel in the heart of New Delhi and one that we return to on each visit. The ambiance, service, attention to detail and hospitality are difficult to fault. Do not miss the bar on the top floor with views over the heart of Delhi and do not miss visiting the nearby Humayun's tomb, a precursor of the Taj Mahal. This is value for money luxury

Another Grand Stay

We love this beautiful, well located hotel in New Delhi! The spotless, beautiful room and cuisine were fabulous...but what makes the Oberoi really special is its service. After unsuccessfully trying to find a place to buy a rare Indian gin to take home, Stranger and Sons, the concierge, Albert John, went out of his way to not only find it, but had it delivered it to the hotel. We used the chauffeur services to do a little shopping and take us to dine at Indian Accent. Safe, efficient and reasonable. This is the only place to stay in Delhi if you want something really special.

Very good service with care and respect by staff at all levels . Be it at Front Desk , at Dining both at restaurants and In-Room , at Business Centre , at Concierge and Spa... Team of Human Resource , Oberoi can boast of and guests staying can feel their expectations exceeding with the quality of care and respect they receive in service . I wish I could have stayed more. Very Fine Hotel . Won't even think of any other hotel in Delhi . 10++/10. Had the same good feeling and same comments for all the Oberoi properties I have stayed till date.

Perfect service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Honestly the service here is the best you will ever experience in a hotel. It is warm without being obsequious, pragmatic, and attentive. It’s worth staying here just on that count. The rooms are reasonably well appointed. I thought the furnishings a bit dated at first, but came to see them as just classic. The hotel looks modern from the outside, but inside it is quite elegant. I loved lingering in the breakfast area late into the morning catching up on work, looking out the big floor to ceiling windows. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, by the way, exceeded only by the dinner buffet (which was unfortunately not included). The restaurant also does a good lunch and tea and à la carte options at all hours. The only F&B drawback was the coffee. There’s a proper machine in the restaurant, but for some reason it wasn’t in use. I noticed that servers were bringing coffees out from the kitchen where I couldn’t see the machine. But it’s India, so you might be better off with tea anyways. The gym and pools are quite nice, though the indoor pool is too short for proper lap swimming. The spa is amazing. Great massages, and you don’t often struggle to get an appointment. One of the hotel’s signature features is its whole-hotel air filtration. The air wasn’t too bad while I was there, but it was definitely a bonus and in much of the year would be a lifesaver.
