We came here for the Patriots/Saints game and loved it. Very centrally located to a lot of attractions. We very rarely had to Uber because we could walk everywhere. The room was wonderful and the air conditioning was so cold it was so amazing to come back to a cold room on a very, very hot day. The room service was ok: I got the Po Boy and my husband got the burger. He loved the burger however I did not enjoy my sandwich. I wound up getting another one at a local place a few blocks away that was far superior. The staff were very friendly.

Such a nice experience at this hotel. ALL the staff were very polite and helpful; from the doormen to the maids, all had smiles and warm welcomes. This hotel exuded class from top to bottom...such a pleasant experience/departure from todays typical hotel standards. Thanks to Hotel Monteleone for making our anniversary stay so enjoyable!

Our experience started off poorly and went down hill from. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4:15. They needed more time to get it clean. We had booked it months in advance, a suite. Our first room had dirty napkins on the floor, no view and someone's hangers hanging from the light in the bathroom. After being told there were no other rooms and insisting on speaking to a manager we got a different room it was better but I would not pay the extra for a suite in this hotel. The list of issues goes on from there, room service issues, concerige issues, house keeping issues, front desk and phone issues. I love old hotels and had really looked forward to staying here but I would not stay there again certainly not a 5 or even 4 star property.

Fantastic hotel in a great location in New Orleans. On Royal st so removed from the crazy Bourbon St but only one street away. Rebuilt in the 1950's it has ambience from much earlier. The carousel bar is probably unique and well worth a go serving a wide range of drinks and food with bar snacks for free. About 15 minutes for a complete rotation but if you go there at a busy time expect to wait for a seat at the bar. Staff are sensational...very customer focussed. Rooms are, to be expected, older but still clean and perfectly functional. Didn't try their restaurant but in room dining was not so good on several occasions so may best be left alone. Lots of food outlets within a very short walk with Daisy Dukes (try the alligator sausage and gumbo) and Willies chicken (crisp chicken wings are awesome) being standouts for cheap eats (try the Hurricane dacquiri at the latter if you dare). Pool deck on the roof is very nice and while quiet when I visited I expect it could be lively when the bar was open. Nice sunset views over the Big Easy. Would stay again.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was classic but clean and nicely upkept. The service was great and the location was perfect. Close to all the action, and close to the trolley stop as well. Its supposed to be haunted too but unfortunately I didnt encounter any ghosts.
