We always have remarkable stays at the Hotel Monteleone. The team is amazing, the rooms- even the older ones- are impeccable and lovely. This is our go-to hotel!

Perfect Customer Service

Simply perfect customer service from all their employees. Great location and the doormen add to the experience by being some of the friendliest people on earth.

Beautiful old hotel with many problems - we were disappointed!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

To begin, our arrival was not ideal. The main elevators were out of service, and we were escorted through a maze of back hallways and taken up a service elevator to reach the 15th floor. This created a very poor first impression and set an unfortunate tone for the stay. The issues continued with the internet service. The “free” Wi-Fi was so slow that it was essentially unusable, and I was surprised that a hotel of this caliber would offer a complimentary option that does not meet even minimal connectivity needs. I attempted several times to upgrade to the paid version, but no one on staff was able to assist. I called the front desk multiple times, one employee came to the room, and another later called to say the problem had been fixed—yet nothing changed. The upgraded service never worked, and the lack of support from the front desk was frustrating. The hotel’s tiered internet system feels like a gimmicky way to squeeze a few extra dollars from guests, and it reflects poorly on the overall experience. The condition of the room was also disappointing. The carpet was clearly stained and needs to be cleaned or replaced, and the furniture showed noticeable wear. For the price point, reinvestment in room upkeep is essential. The value simply didn’t match the room condition. Bell service was mixed—the staff member who carried our bags was friendly and offered to bring ice but never returned with it. On a positive note, the concierge was helpful and friendly, and both housekeeping and In-Room Dining were truly exceptional. The food was excellent, delivery was fast, and housekeeping staff were consistently professional and attentive. Their efforts were much appreciated and were highlights of the stay. Overall, while certain teams provided outstanding service, the unresolved internet issues, room condition, elevator outage, and inconsistent support significantly detracted from our experience. The hotel has strong potential, but meaningful reinvestment and improved guest support are needed to deliver the level of quality one would expect at this price point.

NOLA in December

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Wonderful weekend in NOLA during December. Christmas lights were up and the weather was decent. Walked almost exclusively to various restaurants and bars, and the Christmas parade rocked. The hotel is on par with positive reviews, it is in a great location, and filled with happy patrons. But, Michael Weir, a bellman at the hotel, is a customer service package. This guy just feels genuine, and directed me to some fantastic eats within walking distance. He is irreplaceable in a town like that. Great stay.
