Fancy looking hotel from the outside and lobby, though rooms were mediocre and low value for money. Even though the room was listed for 4 adults, it was cramped for our party of 3 adults.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Monteleone and would highly recommend it to others. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and get around conveniently. The atmosphere at the Carousel Bar was especially enjoyable—lively, unique, and a perfect place to relax after a day out. What truly stood out, however, was the outstanding service. The staff were consistently attentive, professional, and eager to ensure a comfortable experience. Combined with the overall quality of the stay, the hotel offers exceptional value for money. I would gladly return on my next visit.

Room was small and a little dated, which is to be expected from an older hotel in an old section of the city. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again - (most of) the staff were wonderful, the lobby is lovely, the on-site bar (Carousel) and restaurant (Criollo) are excellent (we ate dinner there two of the three nights we stayed!), and the French Quarter location can't be beat.

This hotel is a true gem! We loved that it is still a family owned establishment and after more than 140 years in business they have truly thought of all of the little details. Restaurant is excellent, and the Carousel bar so much fun. The staff are truly special - Mike Weir and Cedric couldn't have made us feel more at home. Many thanks and can't wait to go back!
